It’s new and already one of my favourite places in SF
TBD izakaya at 431 Bush is a home away from home, with a new Japanese restaurant creating mind-blowing taste experiences. Service was incredible, the atmosphere was cozy, and the menu options were diverse and delicious. The Hot Karaage was genuinely one of the best things ever eaten, and the Okonomiyaki was a surprising favorite. The spot was cute, and all the dishes were conceptually creative and non standard. The sansho pepper yakitori piece, chazuke, and tiramisu were highlights. The food is both innovative and classic at the same time, with great vibes and attentive service. The tuna Wellington is really special and do not miss it, with a perfect medium rare center and crispy crumbling dough. Fun vibes and music too. Fresh sashimi and the service provided were emphasized, with a sake expert recommending what’s best. Every dish was loved, and the interaction with the server was enjoyable. A tasting menu was wished for, but the dinner was satisfying. Will definitely return.
