The Progress was great. The decor was inviting and comfortable. The food was amazing - the caviar potato cloud - off the chart! The halibut so good with layers of flavors. And the fried green tomatoes with fig, so good! The wine list gave so many choices, California's best as well as global varieties. Definitely will go back.

My wife and I were on a short visit to SFO. We chose the Progress based upon reviews on the internet and were not disappointed. The staff was very professional and assisted us in deciding how many dishes to order. The menu lends itself to sharing and the appetiser portions are small so our servers advice was greatly appreciated, The food was outstanding! Unusual pairings of ingredients and perfectly seasoned dishes. The Coal-roasted jimmy nardellos and crispy hado tofu was amazing with a nice spicy kick. The tomato and sweet pepper toast was simple but incredibly tasty with the highest quality ingredients. We chose the grilled Alaskan Halibut as our main. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. The desserts looked amazing but, alas, we were too full to try them. You will LOVE The Progress!

The duck here is next level. Perfectly seared, juicy slices arranged with care, and served alongside crispy wings and a flavorful, refreshing salad that elevated the entire dish. Every bite was rich yet balanced, and the presentation was stunning. Honestly, it's the kind of dish you need to eat to truly understand—pictures don't even do it justice. Highly recommend ordering it when you come.

Really memorable dinner and experience. Our server was fun and open and not too serious. The food blew us away. We had something go a little wrong with an order and they made a huge effort to address it and make sure we didn't lose momentum. I can't wait to return. So happy the sorbet float dessert is back, but the doughnuts were bomb too. Duck, fried green tomatoes, dumplings, squash blossoms and cocktails/mocktails. They all slapped.

we had an incredible meal here which we expected since State fair provisions is one of my favorite restaurants. This particular evening was our first time dining at the progress and it was a special occasion because I am surprising my husband for his birthday. It was even more special since it was his first birthday since we got married. The restaurant and the service did not disappoint. They greeted us with a menu that said happy birthday. The staff was extremely attentive. We had a wonderful seat in the beautiful dining room and every single course was impeccably served and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to dine here again.

The meal was great. the potato cloud was delicious and fascinating to try to figure out how it was done. The pigs head , despite the name, was delicious and more like a prosciutto. We also enjoyed the cucumber dish which was quite refreshing. The Swarm cocktail has quickly become a favorite that we will try to create at home. many thanks to our servers who guided us through the menu.
