One of the Best Omakase Experience we had!
Shota introduced me to the idea of un-pretentious Omakase dining. The crew is friendly, and I always leave with a smile :) It's also reasonably priced for San Francisco Omakase.
I have visited the Shota for 5 times now, ever since two months after their openings.
Though they are revising their menus to keep up with michelin ratings, it never took away how fresh and how elegant their food is. I am amazed every time and have a great time with the chefs and servers. looking forward to my next visit.
The Shota is a high-quality Japanese cuisine restaurant that offers a delightful chef experience, featuring the preparation of nigiri right in front of guests. The whole vibe of the place is modern and polished, yet warm. The staff is perceptive, attentive, and inviting, engaging in interesting discussions about each dish. The restaurant is known for its fresh and outstanding fish, with highlights including the uni wagyu, fatty tuna, and a particularly enjoyable sashimi course. For dessert, the Hojicha Ice Cream is a must-try. The presentation is incredible and the attention to detail is superb. It is an amazing and impressive omakase, highly recommended for special occasions like birthdays or celebrations. The price is not for the faint of heart, but the memory will last a long time, making it a great place for a curated dining experience.
