If you want to dine at a lively, fun restaurant this is it! The BEST part is the service and friendship I have experienced over the many years of Tia's. There aren't many restaurants that offer that warmth and excellent service. You feel like your part of the family! And the Margarita's are the best! Go there and enjoy yourself.
My second visit to this lovely neighborhood joint. Tasty food, amazingly generous portions and some of the friendliest staff in the Bay area😚
love this old school Mex-american joint. food not innovative but who cares---- delicious and such warm, efficient service.
Very hospitable staff first of all. The margaritas tasted great and the ambience was very nice as always. I wished I had been given the original receipt when I signed the check so I could see the total before taxes, but not a big deal. While the prices seem higher, I do feel like the portions are generous. Can recommend.
Great and friendly service warm welcome from Luis! Had my favorite Tia Margarita Special enchiladas and a fabulous potent margarita.
As always, I really enjoyed my dinner. I frequent this restaurant several times a year. Been coming here for almost 50 years. My go to dish is the steak picado meal with corn tortillas and a refreshing strawberry margarita! W-
We had reservations didn't have to wait. Service is excellent. Food was excellent. Everybody was very friendly. Very good experience. We going back soon.
Our server Eve was outstanding and offered great options. The mango margaritas were delicious, queso did not disappoint and the taco platter with chicken or carne - o m g. Will be back and next time the bus!!!!
Service was extremely slow. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our good after we ordered. We were only updated when we asked. We were seated by the owner and then the waiter asked us who seated us there. Very rude. I have been coming here for 50 years and this was the worst service ever. We waited at the bar for 20 minutes snd was never asked if we wanted a drink. Very disappointed.
I recently dined at Tia Margarita in San Francisco with 4 friends, and I can't say enough about the fantastic experience we had! We were lucky enough to sit on their lovely outdoor patio, which provided the perfect atmosphere for our meal. The service was outstanding; our server was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was equally impressive. We started with some delicious chips, fresh salsa, and creamy guacamole that set the tone for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we had the chicken tacos X2, which were bursting with flavor, others enjoyed the steak fajitas, Gambas al Ajillo X2, each cooked to perfection. Each dish was well-prepared and beautifully presented. To top it all off, the margaritas were amazing—refreshing and perfectly balanced. Overall, Tia Margarita exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for another delightful meal!

Delicious, fast, and friendly. Excellent service, as always. Thank you for a perfect family dinner that everyone enjoyed 🙏🏽.
Been going to Tia Margarita for over 35 years now, went yesterday and we had an additional guest with us, we were squeezed into a round table and then they added a chair making it impossible to sit comfortably. So I ask the “manager” if we can add a table, says no right away and shows me that they are fully booked. BS because after he said no, I went on open table and was able to reserve a two seater. So, how is that ok? All because we added one extra person to the table it was unmanageable for them. After 20 minutes of us being completely uncomfortable, he comes back and says, the table next to us is free and that we can use it??? Why was that not done 20 minutes ago? Why make a huge scene for having one more person come to the restaurant? The management has completely changed since Helen left and Jenny took over. It's poor customer service and poor ambiance. Unfortunately, after decades of coming here, I don't think I'll be returning to my once, favorite restaurant in San Francisco.
Fun dinner, great server, Omar. Food was good, old school - but not too old school. Will definitely go back.
Food is worse than mediocre and not worth price. Bar scene is lively. Waiter was great. Locals love it. They do not know better.
Tia Margarita is one of our favorite spots for family dinner on the weekends. The food is fresh, flavorful and delicious. The service is warm and friendly. The vibe is authentic and filled with local charm.
