Old school best place for XLB. Came here and got the traditional pork and the crab XLBs. They gave me black vinegar, chopsticks, and napkins and I ate some in the parking lot. They also gave me a small serving of some vegetables for free. I've been coming here for 25+ years. The inside is old, the service is hit or miss, and the parking pre-covid 19 was often inconvenient with parking below. None of this matters. Any real foodie only cares about the food. I was craving soup dumplings, and these were top notch! Tender wrapper, great filling, and they didn't "chince" on the crab meat. My dad who is a native from Shanghai was also impressed The other highlight was the Shanghainese noodles, though this portion is a little small. The zongzi with meat was a little flat, but the red bean was good.

Humble family restaurant serving comfort food. We did not know that this restaurant was closing early but the owners were nice enough to wait till we finish our food. Delicious and authentic Chinese cooking! Tastes like home. ?
