Joy’s Express is an affordable Cantonese cozy lunch spot. We ordered 7 dishes and the total was still about $85 after tax & tips which is pretty impressive for the portion and variety. Definitely a place where you can get a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

Yummy, home-y, Cantonese food at affordable prices. Hainan chicken is pretty solid for its price and quality as most places run for $16+. I've tried a few items from here so far and my favorites are the Hainan chicken rice/ noodle soup and popcorn tofu. Notably, their soy milk is sooo good--it's not too sweet and what I look forward to most. The food taste really good. You can taste the sincerity of the chef. The price tag is good. Everyone can afford it.

Based on the reviews, 喜粤 Joy's Express is a nice hidden find in SGV, a standalone restaurant on a corner right off San Gabriel. Parking is limited to about 5-6 spaces behind the restaurant, but there is plenty of street parking. The restaurant is very clean with a good amount of seating, and it is nicely spaced out. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and hospitable. The food is very authentic northeastern Chinese, served family style with a nice blend of spices and sauces. Prices are very fair and affordable, with good portion sizes. The food has a home-cooked meal vibe and is pretty delicious. Specific dishes mentioned include the chicken wings, which were really good, fried, juicy, and well-seasoned. The beef brisket curry had a good rich curry flavor, and the spiced beef brisket plate was a great comfort meal. A favorite dish was the Dongbei Guo Bao Rou (crispy sweet and sour pork), which was the crispiest ever. Other dishes like glass noodles, fried pork, and pickled cabbage pork soup were also delicious. The place has two larger tables that can sit 10, great for bigger groups. Dishes are made very quickly and on point.
