I have been coming back for their boba milk tea. It tasted good. Periodically, they give a 15% coupon via five star. It's super annoying that they dont take card swipes for payment. Only chip (maybe tap too)

Was in the area and decided to come her over Bopomofo Cafe across the street. I chose this place because they make their own boba pearls. Walked in and placed my order on the tablet. Ordered wintermelon lemon tea with mango boba because it's only available on the weekends. I like the amount of sweetness used in my drink, but I was not a fan of the mango boba. First off, there was little to no mango flavor at all. They minus well have put regular boba in there I would not have noticed the difference. The boba is chewy like Ding Tea, but a little bit bigger. Since the boba is made fresh, it more chewy and kind of gets stuck in your teeth. I prefer Ding Tea's over this one. Will I come back here, maybe!!! There's so many boba options here in the SGV that this place didn't wow me for me to have to come back here.

I like Tea Maru makes fresh boba in house. When we were there, they happen to be making fresh mango boba there. We saw them mix the dough and pass it through a machine then it became hundreds of boba balls. Which is really cool for the kids. There is a kiosk at the counter you can just order without any interaction with the staff. I ended up ordered Maru Milk with oat milk. It tasted pretty standard but I like it more knowing the bobas are made fresh. The shop is at a strip mall. So parking is easy.

The service here was incredible and the drinks were great! There was only one worker behind the counter and they made all four of our drinks in less than 10 minutes. I’d highly recommend the Sweet Potato Matcha Foam drink with brown sugar bubbles. Everything is reasonably priced!Accessibility is good with an accessible counter height and legible menu. Fair amount of free parking.I took away one star solely because the ambiance inside wasn’t such that i’d want to eat-in.

Taro slush is so good with homemade boba. Green tea with fresh mango is so healthy.

Q - What makes Tea Maru stand out from all the other hundreds of Boba tea places in 626?A - The freshly made Boba. They have great tasting fresh tea. And seasonal offerings. Several different Boba choices, including strawberry, mango, and sweet potato I like the consistency of the Boba because it's quite chewy. The fruit Boba choices are also super flavorful.

We love the brown sugar milk boba. So creamy and rich! Make sure to get the whole organic milk. The service is always quick and for anti social people you do not have to talk with the cashier. Lol One thing I want to point out is that I saw a spiderweb that has many bugs in it lol so that's the reason for minus one star.

By far the best boba I've ever had, hands down...and I'm a boba snob. You can't beat handmade! There's sweet potato, strawberry, mango & brown sugar flavored boba (mango only available on weekends). I love the chewiness and consistency, the quality is Andy is really awesome and always provides excellent customer service. There are a few tables and chairs, I even chill here and do work sometimes. Love this place so much, definitely recommend!

Just a little background about me. I'm a boba fiend. I am one of those who will be a longtime repeated customer if I find something I like. It wouldn't feel right if I rated a business only after 1 try. My homegirl recommended Tea Maru SG a couple of yrs pre-covid. Lately, been stopping by a lot more than I would like to admit. The drinks have always been consistent for me. Tastes more unique than other shops I've visited & I appreciate that drinks aren't ridiculously sweet, just reasonable for what it is. -Customer service:Staff has always been normal, they take orders and make the drinks, idk if ppl expect a full on convo about ur day as if it was a coffeeshop or what. You hold up the line this way, and that's a no for me. I have no complaints here. They make drinks quick, wait usually 2 minutes on average (weekday afternoon or nighttime). In & out. DRINKS I GET:-This heat makes me crave Dalgona matcha mixed w/ real fruit pieces (I liked mango, but the crushed mango portion at the base is on the sweeter side, so I shake n let that b$tch marinade--the milk & matcha layers above is not sweet so it balances it out, matcha tastes authentic, slightly bitter, frothy)--other flavors available: strawberry, taro-Maru milk + sweet potato boba (my other choice- if you like creamy milk & brown sugar flavors, hint of cheese foam at the top, 50-75% sweet) Prices on boba MTs starting to range on average $7/cup around here, it is what it is. I would think this goes in hand with customer's expectations as well. They pay more so they expect consistency & better quality all around. Nowadays, there are plenty of boba spots around which are all worth a try. I would still recommend this spot to try only because they have house made boba (sweet potato, strawberry, mango, honey boba) & menu options are not overwhelming but will have enough variety to choose from--fruit drinks (i.e. real taro), milk teas, lattes (Dalgona) -Sweetness level:sweet just the right amount as is. If you enjoy less, then go 50-75% less. I typically order that at every boba shops even 0% sugar, but the drinks I like here I like it at 75-100% sweet. -Texture of boba:I like itChewy, soft not mushy, may clump here and there, sweetness is not pronounced, hint of sweet potato since it is the real deal, plenty amountSize of cup:Only small or large for the drinks I getLarge is not large imo--you finish quick. Probably 12oz. So for the price, it is quite small. Slim design with rounded base & heat sealed plastic lid. I would love for a level up though. Give it a try!:)PS: I love that the shop opens til 10pm! Great for my work schedule, but my pockets aint happy!

TEA MARU!! I have a friend who lives in Pasadena and this boba spot is super convenient for me when I'm visiting my friend. There are plenty of other boba shops in the area, too, but I think Tea Maru is at the top of my list. I rushed over because they were about to close. I recently had an unwelcome experience at a starbucks that closed 15 minutes early and I was a little traumatized from that, so when I spotted the open sign at Tea Maru 5 minutes before closing it was a great sense of relief. I walked in and confirmed with the guy taking out the trash that they were still open. There was even a group of people enjoying their drinks at a table when I walked in. The menu is pretty extensive. There is something for everyone. Tea Maru is kind of known for their home made boba. So I knew I had to try their mango boba (only available on the weekends). I got a Maru Milk with mixed boba and a Mango drink with mango boba. Both were so good. The Maru milk is just milk with black sugar which is a very traditional taiwanese drink with boba. It was just a little less exciting than the mango drink. The mango boba was perfectly squishy and mango-y. The drink tasted like they used real mangoes and not that power crap a lot of places use. I ordered through the ipad, so I didn't interact much with the staff, but they were fast and acknowledged me. I really appreciated that they didn't close early, too. There are a handful of tables to sit and enjoy your drink at, but I think most people probably take their drinks to go.
