Great experience at Tea Maru yesterday. Found out about it through Groupon, and appreciate the fact that they make their own boba in house.
Important note: Mango Boba is only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!
I got the Mango Slush with Strawberry Boba, which featured a nice layer of ice cream, mango slush (at 25% sweet), and delicious homemade boba. The place is small, mostly built for takeout but there are a few decent seats. Song selection immaculate.
The review was long overdue and wanted to get this as soon as realistically as possible but I have to say this institution of boba is one of the better ones in SGV! First and foremost, you get house made boba they make in house (which is rare). The owner does it herself from the front. 2nd I had a drink that was made too sweet. Freshest boba in the SGV. They make it fresh daily and have regular brown sugar, strawberry, mango and sweet potato boba. Milk teas are tasty and they have a lot of refreshing non caffeinated options too.

Tea Maru is a boba spot in the SGV known for its house made boba made fresh daily. The owner makes the boba herself from the front, and flavors include regular brown sugar, strawberry, mango and sweet potato boba. The place is small, mostly built for takeout but with a few decent seats. Popular drinks include the Mango Slush with Strawberry Boba or Brown Sugar Boba, which features a nice layer of ice cream and delicious homemade boba. The Grapefruit fantasy has really strong tea flavor, and the oolong milk tea with brown sugar boba is delicious and slightly sweet. Milk teas are tasty, and there are refreshing non caffeinated options too. Note that Mango Boba is only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Some customers found the boba too hard or the serving size a little less than other shops, but the staff are gracious and will redo a drink if needed. The front staff are good at modifying drinks and taking care of boba business.
