“Boba was excellent. Some of the drinks weren’t balanced well. Osmanthus oolong with honey was decent but the osmanthus with mango had no tea flavor even with half sweet. Fresh milk tea was ok but the boba carried the drink. It’s also rather expensive for the size but worth trying if you want the boba“

I ordered a chrysanthemum, oolong tea with boba, 50% sweet, lite ice.

The boba is delicious and the tea was so flavorful.

Coincidently, the owner’s wife, Cleo, owns Sharp Tea in Little Tokyo, another tea shop that I go to all the time. Sharp Tea is delicious, too, if you find yourself on the Weller Court.

I will return to Why Thirsty again. Everyone here is super nice and have positive spirits.

“There's no denying that boba flows through my veins and a place like Sunright only adds to the obsession. This location is tiny - very little parking is available on the streets and this being situated next to a high school means they get BUSY after school gets out. You have enough space to order either at the counter or on the kiosk, with the latter being preferred. On my recent visit, they ran out of boba on a Friday afternoon and I was gutted. I still went with another topping with my Oolong Milk Tea with Soy Milk, which was a solid substitute but not quite the same without my black pearls. Tea quality was fantastic and I enjoyed my drink. However, my friend ordered their Grapefruit Tea with Boba and omg... one of the best fruit teas that I've ever had from a boba shop. I immediately regretted relying on my milk tea to quench my thirst and should have gone the fruity route. I'm taking note for the next time I am in the area.“

“Had oolong milk tea with brown sugar boba, pretty basic. The boba is delicious, very fresh, and slightly sweet... so good. Only downside for me is there wasn't a healthy serving of boba. I would have ordered extra if I knew it contained a little less than other shops in the area. Still delicious!“

“Their selection of drinks is, in my opinion, limited. Essentially 99% of their drinks have some type of caffeine in them, be it tea or coffee. However, they make up for lack of selection in drink with selection of snacks. I got egg rolls and fried calamari and they were sooo good! They also have restrooms and some comfy seating inside. “I've really been into teas lately and actually prefer it over something like milk tea or anything with some kind of dairy. I really was looking forward to trying their Honey lemon green tea with green tea jelly. I have never heard of any other place that has the green tea jelly and was definitely unique for sure. I also tried the Osmanthus lemon tea with lychee jelly and this was definitely unique and you can really taste the quality. It does have a distinct flavor so you either like it or you don't. As for the honey lemon tea, i think next time I'm gonna ask for less sweet cuz it was a little too lemony for me but overall would get it again. They are very thorough when it comes to cleaning too, I watched them clean each drink nicely before sending it to the customer.“

“We had Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea for 3 consecutive days while we were in LA for the long weekend. They were located a couple of blocks from our hotel. The Mango Sago really hit the spot! I also tried the Mango Pomelo Sago, which had bits and pieces of the fruit in the drink, and it's non-dairy. It is very refreshing on a hot day or any day, really! We also tried the egg pancakes, which is kind of like an egg waffle with filings. It's only available between 12-9 pm. It was a nice snack/sweet treat, but it got a little soggy by the time we got back to the hotel.

Service is quick. You can order in-person or use their kiosk. I ordered from their website for quicker pickup. The parking lot is small and shared with few other businesses, so it's always full. You may have to double park, run in, and grab your drink.“

“I really love the Tiramisu milk foam as it's the very famous one for that. The milk tea with the foam is in great taste. By the way, fruit slushes like grapes or strawberries are also a fantastic choice during summer time. The store is located in the busy plaza with a high population. But not so popular if it's not the rush hours .“

“Fun place to celebrate a birthday. We just celebrated our daughters 16th bday here and it was great! Food is good, their drinks are good, Karoke was fun! My favorite drink is their lychee red bull drink soooooo good! The employees are great! Sooooo helpful and friendly! Highly recommend!“

“If you’re local, then this is a place where you should make your order from home, wait ten minutes, and then leave. The wait for your order can really take a long time, but the estimates that they give you have consistently been accurate for me.

That being said, you can usually taste why it took them so long to prepare it. Whether you think it’s worth that time (or the forethought of ordering ahead) is up to you. For me, it always is.

The staff seems competent and hard at work. I normally don’t interact with them since I order ahead.

Parking is a pain the times I’ve gone. It’s a busy area so the lots are pretty cramped.

I tend to like their seasonal stuff. The Icy Peach is a refreshing drink with a good mix of sweet slushie and (a generous serving of) tart white peach. The handcrafted mochi is great too – there’s something about having to really work to get the mochi that makes the drink all the more enjoyable to me.“

I just went for the first time for the mochi dessert and it was THE BEST MOCHI I’ve ever had in my life, including everywhere in Japan, China or Korea.Also, the flavor is very light and not so sweet or overpowering which why I love about this place.Will drive another hour just for their mochi again and again.“
