“My first impression was the cleanliness and friendly staff. Secondly being my first time all my questions were met with great care to detail. And lastly the freshness and delicious food was phenomenal and priced very well. I am now a Kokoroll customer for life. Thank you! Ps. I only wish I’d found you sooner 😊 HIGHLY RECOMMEND AAA+“
“Cute cafe/boba shop in Old Town Pasadena! I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba. They have all the different levels of customization, like ice and sugar levels, milk options, and toppings. My drink hit the spot and the boba was cooked perfectly to qq texture. Lots of seating, too:“
“10/10, I would recommend! It is lovely and the atmosphere is very positive! The decors and the unique dish specials it offers illustrate Thai cuisines with some modern innovations. The lunch special is unforgettable with exquisite tates and a variety of side dishes that come with it. Take a chance to eat the lunch specials before 3pm. It is about 11 dollars for the choice with a tea. It brought back memorable childhood memories! Try it with friends and loved ones!“
“definitely need to come back to try the rest of their options (:the original pancakes have a light sweet taste (like a hush puppy), they also have an red bean pancake option but i’m a passionate red bean hater so i passed on that the strawberry milk frappe was a little bit on the tangier side as well as more on the watery side. i had expected it to be thicker consistency since frappes tend to be thicker liquid but i did get it with almond milk rather than the regular milk ? other than that, it was still consumablegreen grape snow top tasted like world peace ? ? ?it tasted like natural grape and not the artificial kind that you taste in juice or soda and was surprisingly not sour?i did prefer this one over the strawberry milk frappe ?it is a bit of a tiny shop so i don’t recommend going inside during packed hours (weekends) if you’re claustrophobic or just hate human interactionthe cashier was very sweet !my total was around $22Dietary restrictions: have different milk options for those who are weak like me and will explode if having lactose milk ?Parking: on fair oaks there’s a parking garage garage where the first two hours is only $1 (:“
“I love this place. Great customer service, atmosphere and selection of drinks when it comes to smoothies, boba, etc. Food selection is limited but not bad. It's great for either dining in or take out. I love coming from time to time and will continue coming back.“
“The workers here are always so lovely and efficient! The drink are extremely well made and delicious, and the aesthetics and decoration are cute. I especially like the interactive sticky note wall. :3Kid-friendliness: Ive seen a lot of kids(high schoolers to elementary) go here, and the workers are always respectful. Theres nothing NSFW or worrisome about anything there!“
“Cute little cat themed Boba shop, what’s not to like? The drinks themselves were OK for the price, didn’t really stand out compared to all the other Boba shops in old town. The milk tea I tried tasted a bit artificial. It’s a small shop with a few seating options and a table or two. The staff was nice and the service was quick, the kiosk was very easy to order from.“
“The food was awesome! They also had these little video games that you could play while you wait and they were kinda confusing but really fun. Come here for a great dessert!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian except the chicken nuggets!Kid-friendliness: All the video games and vibe.“
“Service was a bit slow but it was quite crowded when I came. Tried the Oreo drink and the limited edition Kafka blueberry cooler. Oreo drink was too sweet even at 75% sweetness, the blueberry cooler was much tastier. They were out of big straws so it was significantly more difficult to drink the boba and jelly. All the collaboration goodies with honkai star rail were great! We got a poster, drink holder, and sticker along with a redeem code with our drinks!Has a digital order station that works well and is easy to navigate. A bit difficult to find parking so I recommend trying to find parking nearby and walking there!“
“The staff is super fast. During the time I was waiting for my order, I saw 15 to 20 drinks coming out in pickup. There is a wide variety of drinks and I tried flavors I didn't know. I took a dessert for later and at the place I consumed the specialty with cheesecake sauce.“
“I've frequented JIN Tea shop on Green Street in Pasadena for years, and it never fails to impress! The tea bottles are not only visually stunning but also reusable, adding a charming touch to the experience. Their tea presentations are beautifully adorned with colorful flowers and offer authentic flavors with just the right hint of sweetness and milk, if desired. Unlike typical bubble tea places, the focus here is solely on the quality of the tea itself, which I truly appreciate. I've tried numerous drinks like the matcha latte, love potion, butterfly pea flower lemonade, oriental beauty oolong, etc all of which have been delightful. Although primarily serving cold beverages, they specialize in brewed, authentic loose leaf teas with a modern twist. Customer service is good, no complaints! If you're a tea enthusiast or simply enjoy quality beverages, I highly recommend giving JIN Tea shop a try!“
“I have been here a few times and I love their coffee and the variety of drinks they have! I went over the weekend and got their seasonal sweet and salty peanut butter latte and it is the BEST latte I have ever had!! I hope they make it a permanent drink on their menu because it is so good and I'll be sad if they get rid of it. I also love the ambience of the shop. This is my favorite coffee/tea shop in Pasadena, hands down!“
“I’m often in old town at night, and this is one of the few dessert/drink shops still open. The location is well-lit and clean, with a few seats inside. Mostly a grab and go place, but you never feel like you’re in a rush here. No public restroom. Staff is polite and efficient. Drinks are prepared fairly quickly and prices are decent for the quality you get. Street parking gets hard to find but it’s very close to the schoolhouse garage at $1 for 2 hours. Swing by for a sweet treat!“
“Update: prices have increased a lot in the last two years but still deliciousLarge size for a relatively low price. The boba is the best and you have a wide variety of options for your drink which is delicious. The staff is friendly and while there is usually a line it goes by quickly and is worth it!“
“One of my favorite dessert spots in pasadena. I've tried their boba drinks and they too are good but the my guilty pleasure is the bubble puff pastries. Red bean with bananas. Ice cream and whip cream. Yum! It's always about a 10 minute wait because they make it fresh, it's always warm and crispy on the outside. Soft and fluffy on the inside. Almost like a pancake with all the goodies baked in the inside. The ice cream and whip is served on the side to keep it from melting. This one's a must try if you're in the area. Super casual spot.“
“I went in on Monday afternoon, and I was overwhelmed with the many options. The girl in the register was very helpful about recommending me some drinks even though it was a bit busy. She pointed out the various toppings they offered (the jelly's are homemade!!). Overall, the coconut mango 50% sugar with agar boba was really good! I will be coming back when I'm in the area!“
“Another stop on the Pasadena Boba trail (see list). This spot it interesting because it has a heavy soft serve element so you can get a wider variety of treat in addition to the standard Boba drinks. Ordering is entirely by a touch screen or via a qr code. This proved to be an issue when baes request for almond slivers on her excellent mango sorbet was not honored. "SC: We don't do toppings on special items like the Mango sorbet".A: but we ordered them on the app.SC: that was just a request. You can't actually order toppings in the app.A: maybe just give me a small cup of almonds?SC: OK, just give her the almonds.I thought it was strange that the pushed back on what seemed like a pretty simple request, after all, they do offer sliced almonds on OTHER soft serve items, just not the mango sorbet, which is a special item. BOBA STORE Logic. But well worth a stop.Vegetarian options: All.Dietary restrictions: LactoseParking: EasyKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Super friendly service, awesome interior! They also sell things like pins, reusable straws, and snacks. Got the mango slush and it was amazing. Just beware that a large is REALLY large lol. Took a picture of the seating they have so I could do the same with cinderblocks I have at home. Chill vibes all around.“
“Boba was absolutely delicious. You could tell it was freshly prepared and our drinks were wonderful as well. Honestly, aside from the drinks being great, the location is super cute. They also had these sweet little seats in their window area to sit in which my daughter absolutely loved. The guys preparing our drinks look like they were enjoying what they were doing which is always a nice thing. We definitely recommend this place and come back when in the area.“
“First time here!Overall Good experience. The tea tastes good, but the only downside is that it doesn't seem like the store accepts cash. But besides that, the prices are good. I purchased the Peach Oolong Cha, and it tasted great. The music was pleasant, and the restaurant was nice and warm since today is a cold day outside. Definitely will come again ?.“
“Great spot for smoothies, open late! Good variety of drinks available. Clean, cool environment inside. Easy, although tight, parking in the lot. Employees are friendly and helpful. Good rewards program. They got new check out kiosks that are not great. They are fancy, but don't offer customization or rewards earning or redeeming. Also not wheelchair height, the screen is about 4ft up. I much prefer interacting with humans.Vegetarian options: Drinks are vegetarian, not many menu items are though. They have fries and lots of fried foods and edamame, but the main dishes are like all meat.Parking: Small spots, but I've always found an available spot when going here.“
“Located right on Green before Wilson, only street parking available. Absolutely love their Thai Tea soft serve. They do have other flavor drinks available, both hot and cold. Freshly made cookies also for sale. You do have the option to make the soft serve into a float with different tea options. If it’s your first time here get the “Trophy” which includes all the toppings except for Oreo crumbs. No tables or public bathroom, just a single bench seat while you wait for your order.“
