The restaurant is a small, cute shop perfect for grab-and-go dining, and is noted for offering the closest authentic Hawaiian poke in the Bay. The staff is helpful and happy to explain their options. While the toppings and sides are limited, the focus remains on the excellent quality of the fish, which is truly fresh and flavorful. The menu includes non-fish options like Korean chicken, which is crispy and flavorful, as well as shellfish selections. Customers can choose from different sizing options, including a small size with half rice and half salad for those who enjoy vegetables. There is a mac salad that many find really good, and for dessert, butter mochi is available, although some may find it too sweet. Note that there is no seating space inside, but picnic tables are available across the street, and parking can be tight in the area. Despite being a bit pricey, the quality and taste of the fish make Aloha Fresh worth a visit.
