The man who host and took our order wasn’t nice. I waited for the food (banh canh) to come out before making this comment to have a fair review, however, it’s bad. It’s so salty to the point that I have to pure half of the water cup and use all of the lemon to reduce the salt taste. So the food couldn’t make up for the service unfortunately

Food was good and authentic, but service was very very slow. Was sat after the main lunch rush at around 2pm, yet it still took like 30-40 minutes to get food. Also, they had a few people cleaning the tables, but they just ended up standing around rather than clean and getting people seated.

Overheard someone who had arrived to pick up a to go order say that they had to wait an hour. They really need to speed up the service.

Good, comforting food. Quick service with piping hot food

The water glass arrived at our table with LIPSTICK still on it, definitely not a great start. The ground pork was chewy and bland, which was disappointing. Overall, it feels like the place is going downhill. What’s going on? where’s the manager when you need one?
We’ll give it one more chance but if there’s no improvement, especially in cleanliness, we won’t be coming back.

NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE !
The food was slightly cold. The staff on the afternoon shift had a poor attitude, our order was missing items, and they were frequently on their phones instead of paying attention when customers called.

This place has good Bánh Cuôn, outdoor sitting and excellent service.

My forever comforting place to eat. Back when I was in Vietnam, bun moc has always been my favorite dish and Bun Moc Ong Ta is the closest to what I had in my homeland. The broth is just so amazing, no other place can beat it, and also, I like the way they made their moc from pork paste (sorry in Hanoi they made moc from minced pork & mushroom), but this is southern style bun moc and I definitely prefer this version more. You have to try bun moc here and thanks me later

According to my mom and family, this is the best banh cuon place in San Jose. I do like their dac biet, which is their special.

I think a major highlight is that their steamed rice roll is very thin and velvety compared to other places.

Recently they got shut down by the health inspector so now is a really good time to eat there y'all. No lines and you know they're gonna be clean as hell to keep up. We also are currently at 20% off to bring back customers.

They now leave their fish sauce on the table, thank God, so we don't have to ask for extra

Banh cuon is one of my favorites, so I was looking forward to this place while visiting from out of town. We beat the afternoon rush (line) though the place was already packed. I ordered the #1 banh cuon dac biet. It was good, but not extraordinary. My mom had the bi cuon and she noted that they put ground black pepper in it, which is not what you'd normally do. I'm glad I came here, but there is no reason to come back.
