PERMANENTLY CLOSED. This is the saddest restaurant closure in 2019 for me. The food at Banh Cuon Saigon was SO good that it was worth the 45 minute drive from SF for their Xoi Ap Chao (burnt sticky rice). Yes, it was THAT bomb. And, to my knowledge, this was the only place in NorCal that offered this addictive carby goodness. One day, I hope the owner/chef opens up shop somewhere else because where else am I going to get that rice crack from?! P.S. - District 7, an "Asian Comfort Food" restaurant will be taking over this space.

Such a good dinner, even hours after the banh cuon had been made. We shared a banh cuon dac biet, which meant a trio of the bouncy springy noodle sheets with (1) cha lua (pork ham), (2) cha chien (fried pork), cha gio (fried roll), banh tom co ngu (shrimp & yam tempura), and nem chua (fermented beef). The nuoc mam dipping sauce gave the perfect sweet and sour hit to the banh cuon. Would definitely return!

I completely change my mind. This place is excellent! I tried two other banh cuon places found on here. These two are the OG ones, the ones that have been around for a while, and they feel more manufactured than this place. My absolute favorite dishes is the sticky rice with the roti chicken. Drool. The chicken tastes exactly like roast duck. I love it. The sticky rice is nicely fried. The shrimp fritter is a perfect appetizer. I don't know many places who make that. This is one of my DoorDash favorites! I love it!

Customer service 8.5/10. Food here is 10/10! First tome having the shrimp fritters delicious with the fish sauce and I like that I can put as much chilis in it as I want and it has a nice kick to it. The banh Cuon was tasty as well, but could use more filling. Overall food 9/10. Portions are huge and great for sharing. I'm coming back to try other dishes for sure!

Yummy in the tummy! This is my favorite banh cuon spot in San Jose. The service is always on point along with the food. I usually would get the combo banh cuon which comes with pork patty, red ham, Eggrolls, veggie and the banh cuon itself along with a shrimp fritter. Texture is fresh and the atmosphere is very homey. The fritter is extremely good! It's not oily and always crispy. They have fish sauce and other condiment place out with pepper for you to choose from. This spot is located in the new plaza at century on the right hand side. Delicious and inexpensive. My go to when I am craving a snack or a good meal in San Jose. They accept Apple Pay, Samsung pay, along with other major payments and cash! Plus on top of plus.

This place is my favorite restaurant in Viet Town now. I came here with my family on Sunday and we ordered around 8 different dishes. Everything was amazing. The Banh Cuon Dac Biet is their specialty. This dish was delicious. It is very simple but it has so much flavor. You have to make sure you eat a little bit of everything and put some fish sauce. Best Banh Cuon I've ever had! We also ordered some of their chicken dishes and they were amazing. My husband had #37 rotisserie chicken egg noodle plate. This dish was really good. The noodles were cook to perfection and it had good flavor. I had #36 rotisserie chicken with burnt sticky rice and oh my!! This was my favorite dish. I've never had sticky rice like that. It is pressed and served with crunchy onions. It has so much flavor. A must have here. We had other dishes including the porridge, the shredded chicken salad, and egg rolls. Every dish was different and very flavorful. We will definitely be back next time we are in San Jos

I DoorDashed from here earlier. If it tastes good when it's a "to-go" order, I think it's safe to say it would be even better at the restaurant when the dishes comes out hot from the kitchen. I ordered the Chicken Pho (Pho Ga Dac Biet) and the broth was light with barely any salt -- just how I like it. The chicken added plenty of flavor and the ginger infused fish sauce dip was a great compliment. The spring rolls are of decent size and come in a pair. Looking forward to trying this place as a diner at the restaurant.
