If I could give zero stars I would. This is definitely THE WORST Baskin Robins I have EVER stepped foot in. I've lived in Almaden since I was a teenager, and I've seen this particular location go through many changes in ownership. The current owners are more than disappointing to the service I know this location has been known to have in previous years. Not sure if the woman who is always there is an owner, but I get the strong indication she is. And if she is, she should definitely take a customer service class. There's a definite disconnect, maybe a language barrier, which isn't my issue. My issue is that she has, on a number of occasions, not understood my instructions, and upon my corrections of her mistakes, has given me dirty looks, and STRONG attitude. I recently went in with my daughter and my brother and ordered 3 items- my brother was definitely all over the place and had decided on a large cone and then switched to a sundae and then decided to stay with the cone. Annoying, yes, but not unfixable, considering she hadn't started making the sundae yet. I told her immediately (eye contact and everything) that he would not be taking the sundae. Her response was to nod and smile. When I saw her continuing to make the sundae, I told her again. She did the same. Nodded and smiled. When I saw her starting to slice open a banana I explained a third time, and the scowl she gave me told me she finally understood. The dirty look wasn't overlooked by my brother who commented, "wow- did you see the way she looked at you?! What was that about??". Since this visit I have been back twice and had HORRIBLE experiences both times. This evening came in at 8:50 with my elderly parents, just to have her say they were closed. She simply said she had already cleaned and before we could make it out the entrance she shut off all of the lights. My parents are in their late 70's- they're hard of hearing and seeing and they don't move too fast, so I was pretty furious at this gesture. A couple who had been in the store prior to us had seen what she had done, made a few comments to us about how she had been making it clear to them she didn't want them there either. I'm sure if you've made it this far through my review you're wondering why the effort for a Baskin Robins- but I can tell you that I'm completely appalled by the lack of customer service here and you'd be better off driving another mile up the road to give your money to a location who understands that customers pay for the business. Definitely won't be coming back here, no matter how convenient it is for me. Can't wait for someone new to own this place. It's a complete shame to see such poor ownership/ management to such a great location.

I love baskin robbins but I do avoid going to this location. First the manager Sam is extremely rude to his employees and gives off such weird vibes. Second you can either have a good time and be out the door really fast or you can wait for over 20 minutes just to get ice cream. The last time I came here there were two girls working, a younger girl who could barely speak a sliver a english and an older lady who was just on her phone the whole time and got mad when people asked her if they can order.

It's a clean and friendly place with a variety of flavors and plenty of sits both inside and outside. I would recommend them to bing more gelatos.

We ordered two custom birthday cakes in the past 10 months. Each time they delivered exactly what we asked and on time. Great customer service. Owner was very attentive and accommodating. Cakes tested great, guests loved it.

Dang. Ordered ice cream via door dash and what we received was like less than half what is normal. Three scoops my daughter got didn't even come up to the rim of the cup they put it in. My single scoop is an airy half size. What the heck, BR!

This store sucks. Sam the manager is a complete creep. I saw him going off on one of his employees, SCREAMING at the poor girl. Don't waste a dime at this place, good luck to all of your new hires that you left for a week while you went to India. Nice job, Sam. Also, I've been to this store several times this past month. I didn't always have the best experience, but these 3 employees, Kelcee, Makai & Lizzie went above and beyond for me to have a great experience every time & one of them are fairly new. Once again good luck to all new hires.

Just went to this store to buy an ice cream cake for my daughter's birthday celebration this evening. The clerk was not very helpful and indeed rude. With no other customers around, the clerk didn't come out to help us select the cake; after we selected and tried to order, she ask us ' which one' from the front desk, she finally had to come out to see the one we chose. Then she insisted that we pay first before she'd put the cake away. When I had trouble with the pen she gave me to write my daughter's name and asked for another pen, my friend told me the clerk rolled her eyeballs and showed impatience. This neighborhood ice cream store is our family's favorite and we've been ordering ice cream cakes there for years. I'm very disappointed about this unpleasant experience!

I took my son for an ice cream treat today and we met the owner of the BR store. He was quite attentive, very welcoming and accommodating. The owner was training a new staff at the time of our visit. The store's always clean and organized. They always ask if we'd like to try any flavors. I was looking for the Matcha flavor but unfortunately they were out of stock. I'll try again on my next visit. Today: I got secret admirer and jamocha almond fudge on a waffle cone, icing on the cake shake for my son and a pint of rocky road for my husband.
I know I should have said something at the time but I'm a person who doesn't like to confront people. I keep quiet and get my voice out in a less aggressive way. I was in this store on Feb. 8. I ordered a sundae. I watched the guy make it. He dropped the cherry on the counter. Guess what? He put it back on the sundae I ordered. GROSS!!!!! I will NEVER stop here for dessert ever again.. Gross negligent. That counter could have had a million parasites. Freaking idiot. He knows who he is. He was there on the 8th of February between the hours of 2 and 4. That's the time frame I walked into the store to order a sundae.

They have the friendliest teens working there. Super convenient and close to home. My favorite is the mangonada drink they had during the summer and the mango ice cream.

Great experience. There are tables outside so you can sit outside to enjoy your treat. I took my grandchildren here for a special treat and the staff was very accommodating.

Under new management. Great service. Ordered a photo ice cream cake online, turned out super cute and delicious. Very easy online ordering process, you can customize it as you like. The owner, Sam, was very helpful. Would def order again.

Sign out front does say new management, not sure when they came in as I don't frequent this institution; however, my experience yesterday was very good. Friendly and prompt staff. Also handling a limit of 5 in store which seems good for distancing.
