Got a tamal Oaxaqueño and it was amazing. The mole is exquisite, sweet and smoky. I'm exited to go back and try everything on their menu. Also had the nieve de Limon and it was also on point.
Will definitely return!

they do not open on time, we came one day 2 hours after opening just to save a trip. We noticed no one gets greeted when entering as well. Our waiter though was nice but he didn’t take our order? It was a cook from behind the line ( her clothes were stained with food & was wearing blue deli gloves ) once we had our food, a beef tlayuda, the meat was luke warm & my bf pulled out a long blonde hair from it. We were so disgusted we did not end up eating.

The last time we went we ate with great disgust, there were cockroaches on the table, walls and ceiling, etc., and my wife and I never went back to that place. Despite my complaint about the cockroaches, they charged us for everything.

The truth is, as an Oaxacan, I don't recommend it. I think the price is a little high, but if the food was good, there's no problem. The food has no flavor, the quesillo has nothing to do with the flavor of Oaxaca, neither does the chorizo, and jerky has no flavor. Another thing is that the waiter automatically charges you tips and you have to call him because he is seated. I am a waiter and I really think they have to improve. Not recommended Sorry.

The food was great . Just one thing I didn’t like how they took the tip automatically . Not good for business cuz not everyone can afford to tip

This is a small, family owned restaurant that has been one of my favorites for years! They are like family to me now. Have some patience. It takes time for the food to arrive because most items are made fresh to order. It's worth the wait. They even hand make their corn tortillas. If you're ever feeling under the weather, they make the best chicken soup. And if you like dishes from Oaxaca, they specialize in mole and I love their Tlayudas! They also have a few secret off menu items that are amazing! If Esme is working, try my Michael Special (named after me) - it's a carne asada supreme burrito with red sauce. I ask for no beans, no rice, but add potatoes and add eggs. It's DELICIOUS!! And it's enough to feed you two or three times. Oh - and if you like a good Michelada or Chavela, they sure do know how to make 'em!

Homemade corn tortillas were amazing. Mole is the best in town. Al pastor street tacos are extremely tasty.

I came with my family and we paid about $200 and then when I received my receipt it turns out that now the waiters already put their tip however they want, they charged me $60 as a tip already on the receipt with everything I ordered, since when Are the waiters already tipping their amount? Without saying anything the waitress said anything and yet the food wasn't that great. I've been to other much better places and this is the first time I've been here and so much service? What a small thing and if you want to read a magazine I don't recommend ANYONE come here because this place is already putting their tips into the system that gives them their fucking earnings. Abusers are.
