Gay Bars in San Jose, CA

Renegades Bar • $
501 W Taylor St, San Jose

“When people say this is a neighborhood bar, it's true. Everyone here generally knows one another. I would say from either socializing or the event they have throughout the week etc. It really does have a community vibe. Always a good time here! Also, the Bartenders Mark, Mark and Bernard are freaking awesome men, they are prompt, social and very aware of what's happening throughout the night. Sweet men!“

Mac's Club Bar • $

“It's a good place to spend time and rest. A great bartender. Daily promotions are organized. You can get two free any cocktails and a separate room for an hour. To do this, you need to register on 909gay,com and show the administrator the form. I am happy that I am lucky to be there. I will come again.“

Triple Play Karaoke

“This is my updated review. As always arrive 30 min early to avoid long lines during the weekends but lately they’ve been doing a good job at getting people in quickly. Smoking is not allowed and picture ID is not accepted. No exceptions. Splash takes cash, apple pay and card. Cover charge is cash only. Wells Fargo and Chase are within walking distance about 5min walk. The music can be very repetitive and popish, there isn’t a variety of hip/hop, rap music they play at all. It’s Mostly what the average suburban caucasian would listen to so if you’re expecting to get freaky or get down you’ll be disappointed and perhaps bored. It depends on the DJ. Really a hit or miss. Restrooms downstairs and upstairs are for all genders but upstairs is mostly used by women since it has more stalls. All the pee stalls are downstairs for the men. Upstairs by the patio also has more pee stalls for the men. It gets warm/hot both floor’s especially when it’s super packed so if you aren’t dancing heavily you won’t sweat heavily but if you do. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wear EXTRA deodorant and don’t wear clothing that exposes your sweat. It’s musty, nasty and nobody wants to smell you or see your clothes sogged up. Quick tip: The ends of the bars is better to get a drink rather than in front where loads of people are also waiting. Some Bartenders go clockwise or counter clockeise. But sometimes they’ll choose who was waiting first.

Parking: Garage in front of Splash, Garage in San Pedro Square or the parking lot behind Chase and the gentleman’s club.

Wheelchair accessibility: Front Entrance is wheelchair accessible. Upstairs is not.“
