“Visiting from London with a mate. Went to HITW twice during our week up there and loved it both times. Staff are really friendly. The decor is .... GayTwilight zone grunge.... Is the best I can come up with. Really eclectic punters but everyone is very nice, no sense you're encroaching on a locals bar type thing. Last night we spoke with a barman with a long beard, really friendly throughout. Tbh, everyone was. Thanks guys!!“

“Wonderful bar!! Good drinks!! Only problem is I was made super uncomfortable by a guy trying to talk to me mid conversation with a nice lady I had just met at the bar. Really ruined the vibe for me cuz I thought this place being advertised as a lesbian bar meant it was a safe space away from men. Really ruined the atmosphere for me :(

“You know, I was among a select group who were regulars there from 1997 - 2008, which is arguably the heyday of the bar. In fact, I bought so many drinks and merchandise there for myself and my friends that I fully expect a bronze plaque to be placed on the bar because fer chrissakes, if you people had kids I would have put them through medical school by now. I even have a photo on the patio of my mother and me at the pre-wedding party they held for my ex and me. How about we get some of the past patrons to help out by adding photos to your gallery? Hmmm?😜“
