This has to be one of the smallest restaurants i've ever eaten at, but the flavor and portions are big. The prices are modest. This was only the second time I have eaten here and I had to get the exact same thing as I did the first time, which was the short rib lunch special. The small ribs were very tender and the gravy was so delicious, and the white rice and bok choy were good too. The service was the definition of graciousness.. This time I came hungry and I still couldn't finish it all. It's been a long time since I was so pleasantly surprised with a new restaurant. I gave a five stars for atmosphere because of the service and because they have a wall plug for my phone charger. The only downside is they're not open on Sundays. I'm gonna try really hard to order something different next time, maybe.

Ordered Kung Pao Beef on line, did say hot was so hot could not eat. Called and person blew me off. Vary rude and would not give me a refund, go somewhere else. I will bad mouth this place forever.

Nothing fancy, just simple, tasty takeout chinese food. The vegetables were perfectly crisp and all the sauces were flavorful. The breaded chicken for most of the dishes was tender and juicy. We especially liked the sesame chicken. The "general" chicken was a little too salty and the chow mein was a little bland, so we mixed the two and the combo was great. My only wish was that they provided white rice like most other places, but I will definitely order again.

We really enjoyed Lucky Chef. Placed an order online, they called to confirm and it was ready as soon as we arrived. The owner was very friendly! The food was very good, we loved the fried rice and the Szechuan chicken the best. It's a great spot to grab takeout. We would love to have dinner from Lucky Chef again.

I'm in love with their garlic pepper wings! They're the best in SJ i think. Their orange chicken and mango chicken is okay but the wings are where it's at!! I keep ordering from doordash and i'm always satisfied!

The food was made quick and it was pipping hot which I loved because a lot of places cook your food and it still comes out cold. However, their sweet and sour chicken wasn’t hitting the way it should. I got a lot of pieces that was more fry than actual meat in it. The sauce was good but there was just a huge lack of actual meat.

Another great restaurant! My son and daughter had the flu. I ordered hot and sour soup and egg flower soup. This helped their throats. They needed fluids. They needed nutrients. Easy fix

This is absolutely the BEST salt and pepper pork chop that I've had in the bay area. SO FREAKING GOOD. And they take pride in their food.

Don’t be fooled by this boring looking restaurant, the food here is really great! The food prepare is a bit slow but with that amazing food I could ignore that.

Nothing is better than this restaurant. Wor wonton soup is unbelievably delicious! Everything else is top notch, too.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Ordered the crispy Sichuan chicken with fries. The worker repeated twice "sesame chicken with fries" so I showed him on the menu exactly the item I was trying to order. He confirmed with me Sichuan chicken with fries. So, I waited 10 minutes while he went back there and made the order. On the way home I started to munch on the fries. All of them were a soggy mess in the brown paper sleeve he stuffed them in. Got home, opened the carton to eat the chicken and saw that it was sesame chicken a thick purple jelly coated all over. I wasn't feeling like eating a sweet lunch. I called in to let him know about the order. First thing he said was "you're just being difficult, what do you want?" I tossed everything back in the bag and went back. I put the bag on his counter and asked for a refund. I told him I wasn't trying to be difficult, he simply got the order wrong and I was willing to work with him to remedy the simple issue.
