New Sam Kee Restaurant Reviews
This is our goto for no nonsense gotta have authentic family style come-as-u-are chinese food.
My mom and dad are obsessed with this place but I find it very mid. We always get the lobster garlic noodles and it’s just okay. I’ve had better.
We’ve been coming here for years, but this time the fried rice cake wasn’t fully fried. It was white and soft instead of crispy. The yellow part in the photo is just egg.

The New Sam Kee Restaurant is a hidden gem in Evergreen, offering a delightful mix of traditional family-style dishes and seafood specialties. The steamed sea bass is a standout, praised for its freshness and delicious sauce, which diners have tried in vain to replicate. The Mongolian beef, while average, is complemented by perfectly cooked green beans. However, some reviews mention that the white onions in the Mongolian beef were not fresh, and the sweet and sour pork had pineapples that also did not taste fresh. The salt and pepper ribs remain a crowd-pleaser, and diners have expressed interest in trying the Caviar King Crab, Lobster Garlic Noodles, and Kingdom Seafood Fried Rice. The restaurant's ambiance may be a bit dated, and it has been noted to be a little dirty, but the ample seating and great service make it a reliable choice, especially for those seeking a family dinner or a meal when other establishments are closed. Diners have reported that food arrives hot when ordered for takeout, and while the meat tastes good, the vegetables can be lacking. Overall, New Sam Kee Restaurant is a solid choice for Cantonese food and is suitable for accommodating small events like wedding banquets.
