Nothing else was open in downtown SJ except for this little food hall. Pizza way was my choice others in my group tried other things. I had the birria pizza. It was quite good. You could grab a meal from any of the food court options and then sit in the bar and enjoy your food. You could also grab a drink at the full bar if that's on your menu. Pizza is not my go to typically but I would go back.

Pizza with a Mexican twist! When I first moved to California I got used to seeing Indian-fusion pizza, but funnily enough this was my first time have a Mexican-fusion pizza. Came here on a day where they advertised on their Instagram that all pizzas were $10 for the day as long as you showed the Instagram post. In this economy, that's a steal... so ditched out original dinner plans and opted for pizza. It was also a good excuse to explore Christmas in the Park on a weekday. LOGISTICS Located as SoFA in Downtown San Jose, street parking only and the location is inside a food court-esque dining hall. You can order on the tablet or order directly with them. The pizzas are made fresh so they may take awhile to come out after ordering (in our case it was a little over 15 min), but they come out SUPER hot. If you let them know you're dining in, they'll be sure to provide plates so you can eat your piping hot pizza onsite. FOOD They serve both sandwiches and pizza, and they also have regular pizza flavors like pepperoni, Hawaiian, combo, etc. However, we wanted to try something different from the typical pizza so we went for their Mexican fusion flavors. Crust on both pizzas was quite thick but soft on the inside ; reminded me of the crusts you'd find at chain pizzas like Domino's and Pizza Hut. Birria Pizza: I've seen Birria ramen but had yet to try Birria pizza. They served the consomme on the side, so instead of dipping the taco you're dipping a pizza slice. The Birria itself tasted pretty average compared to other places I've been... but hey, it was on a pizza. It lacked the same flavor punch I've experienced with other Birria food items. Al Pastor Pizza: A good al pastor topping with seasoned shredded pork, cilantro, and pineapple. In terms of overall flavor we preferred the Al Pastor pizza more. It was more savory but balanced - the pineapple added a nice sweetness to cut into the salt, grease, and spice. The spice / seasoning on the pork worked really well with the pizza mozzarella. Side Note: If you decide to dine in here... you will need to buy a drink. They aren't able to provide drinking water for dine-in customers. OVERALL Pizza Way fills the pizza gap at SoFA - the pizza is hot and fresh, and even at regular price they are quite large. I can't speak for their other pizzas, and one pizza was better than the other on our visit... but I'd rate this more a 3.5 stars, on the higher scale. One pizza is probably enough to share between two people, we struggled and were abnormally full eating 2 pizzas between 2 people (worth it). Prices may seem high but they seem to be in line with other specialty pizza places. At least some flavors are interesting, particularly the Mexican fusion ones. Be sure to follow them on Instagram for special deals/promos in the future and support a local business!

First time here. Ordered a Hawaii and a dessert strawberry & chocolate pizza to go from the kiosk. Wait time until my pizza were ready was also reasonable (around 15mn).They make the pizza front of you, so that's great, because you can actually see what's going on with your food. However, about exactly that, the guy making the pizza uses his bare hands to prepare them. I could have been OK with that since they are cooked afterward anyway, BUT I saw him handling cash, and then returning right away to prepare the pizza. So, that's not super hygienic. On the top of that, once arrived at home I found out that their paper which they place under the pizza while in its cardboard box, was totally stuck to it ! It was impossible to remove the pizza from its box without destroying everything in the process. So, something to keep in mind if you order one to go there.FYI: For two pizza (with extra cheese) + tip + taxes = $43.45

This thing was several times bigger than my face & perfect temperature/crisp/flavor. Love to see cutting fresh strawberries to make it happen

We ordered a pizza, it was delivered cold and the delivery driver did not deliver the sparkling water. We had to drive back to the place to pick up the sparkling water. And they weren't willing to discount anything.

The pizza delivery service is not worth it. Customer service is awful. They left half of our order at the restaurant and refused to refund for it. The pizza flavor was like most other pizzas, may as well go somewhere with better

The ordering kiosk worked fine (asked us to tip for water though) and the food was ready pretty quick. We ordered the Hawaiian but there was barely any ham or tomato sauce and way too much cheese that tasted cheap. The pineapple was also pretty bad. Very overpriced since a 20 dollar pizza could maybe be enough for one person but definitely not enough for two and even water is 3.5 bucks but I suppose that's regular prices for this area. The dude working the register was nice

Omg their sandwiches are awesome. The Napoli is my go to. The pies are super good too. Im actually thinking of getting pizza dough at home to make sandwiches in, such a good idea.

Had a wonderful time at the SoFA in downtown San Jose. Pizza Way created a delightful pizza experience. They made a nice pizza to fit my ladyfriends dietary needs. Their crust was very tasty. The presence of a full bar on premises was a nice touch.

This place is amazing to go to if you're looking for a nice mix up! My boyfriend loved the Birria pizza, and the consome the pizza came with was delicious. I got the Al Pastor and it was absolutely delicious. I've tried both of the pizzas with and without red sauce and I personally recommend without the red sauce since I felt the combination is a bit weird with it but my boyfriend didn't mind it. The pizzas are also a bit on the smaller side so if you're hungry or hosting a party I'd buy a few! Overall everything was delicious and we will be back!
