First time going here- was not impressed - hoping it would be good but it wasn't - only 3 tables yet service was so slow

Great selection and fast service. Donut roll is greasy and overly oily. Soy milk is overly sweet prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is simple and local. Next to an Avis / Budget rental car in a strip mall next to Taco Bell. Will be back!

The food is good! Lunch time is busy especially on weekends. Servers are busy and service sometimes can be below expectations. Pricing and portions are all better than many other restaurants here in the south bay, I would therefore recommend this restaurant. They serve breakfast items too like the soy milk, fried dough sticks, etc. The onion pancake is among best I have tried here in north cal. My overall rating for Soong Soong is 4 stars!

I came on a Sunday morning before 11am and there was no wait at all. I heard this place can get crowded during their busy hours so best to come early in the morning. We tried their soy bean milk with Chinese donut and the beef burrito which both hit the spot. The beef burrito was thick and filled with beef. We also tried their bean curd which comes packed in a small container already so you can take it to go. Comes with a lot of bean curd as well so I feel like you can split it into separate meals. Great place for soy milk and Chinese donut!

Pancake fruit: mediocre, with fried dough sticks, but it’s not mediocre just because it’s not crispy. It can only be said that there is no other place nearby that makes pancakes.Tofu nao: sesame sauce topping...oh my god. I have never eaten such terrible tofu nao in my life. From the second sip onwards, every sip is long.Purple rice porridge: delicious!

Yummy comfort food! Everything was good but the small buns with meat which was their most popular item, was way spicy. They called it a Chinese burger.

I forgot how good this place is.Salty Soy bean milk - This is really tailored to my taste. I've had a few of them at famous restaurants in Taiwan but I like this better.Onion cake - very good. Thin and fluffy. Excellent.Spicy beef noodle soup - the soup flavor is very good, spicy enough but what caught my attention is the texture of the noodle. It's very Al dente.Chicken fried rice - I say it's slightly above average. Not bad.Beijing meat pancake - the meat is firmer than I hoped for but the taste and the pancake crust was really good.Walnut chicken - That was the surprised. My son ordered it and I have lots of doubt about it. I've had Walnut prawns before but Walnut chicken... It turned out extraordinary. I didn't like chicken breast but you couldn't tell the difference. It's very crunchy and chewy. The sauce also very good.I'm going to have to come more often.

Ordered take out of pork and egg congee along with yao tui and beef chow fun, dried. All items were well prepared. The congee had very consistency and texture. Big chunks of egg and flavorful pork. What surprised me was the yao tui. It was still very crispy outside and soft and fluffy inside. The Chow fun was good as well. Showed signs of "wok hei" which most places don't have. Definitely will be back.

Definitely one of my favorites in the area! Nice food with fair price, this is my go-to place when I don’t know what to order. And the sweet purple rice desert they serve post meal is awesome!
