Sushi Kan Japanese Cuisine

I’d like to call this a hidden gem in the Bay Area! The sashimi is so fresh that it has no fishy smell, and its distinctive chewy texture lingers in your mouth. The various rolls and sushi are neat and clean, but the sashimi rice bowl is a work of art! Unlike other places, the chili sauce has a harmonious balance of acidity, sweetness, and saltiness, making it a sauce that brings all the ingredients together. I also highly recommend the Nagasaki Champon. You’ll understand once you try it! The staff are friendly and skilled, so they prepare everything efficiently without you even asking. The various events are also a plus. You definitely have to visit! Highly recommended!!

I had a spicy noodle with sea food at lunch. It was really nice. And I saw many 9ther people were having sushis...it looked good as well, so I would like to visit there again to have sushi.

Ordered a tonkotsu ramen. It took them around 20-30 min to serve it. Apparently it was ready at least 5 min beforehead but not served till then. The ramen ingredients came with zero arrangement (given the way ramen usually gets assembled, how?), and the sliced pork tasted like it'd been soaked for 10 min. The broth was as SALTY as SOY SAUCE even after I added half a glass of water. I understand ramen broth usually comes with strong flavor and salt, but throughout my 20+ years of exprience of trying Japanese food (including 3+ times visiting Japan), this was ridiculous. Before we left, when we mentioned the ramen was too salty (without any intention for any refund or anything), the waitress replied 'ramen in Japan is just this salty'. ??????

Btw, my friend ordered sushi and I tried a couple pieces. 'Mediocre' was the most euphemistic word I could say given the price.

A decent spot to grab sushi! Many of my colleagues actually recommended the Korean food actually. The Champon and K-Chirashi (Hwe Dup Bap) are unique to this spot, and not typical for sushi restaurants in the area!

I got the Catherine Roll and Agedashi Tofu to start! Both were great. Fresh fish and not too much rice. The tofu came out piping hot and was breaded lightly.

The K-Chirashi was fun! Imagine a sashimi salad, but with rice at the bottom AND THEN mix in a ton of sweet gochujang in there. A good balance, and they didn't skimp on the portion/quality of fish! Loved the tuna!

This sushi place is so great! Eric is chef. Everything is so fresh. I enjoy it every time I have tried so many different sushi places in San Jose. Ultimately this is the best

The servers are very nice, but sometimes slower because they are short staffed. I love coming here with family and coworkers after work! Highly recommend

Pretty quiet, when I was expecting izakaya vibes. But, friendly and hospitable service and wonderful sushi. The Hamachi was stellar.
