We placed an order for takeout via the ChowNow app, with an estimated wait time of 45 minutes. However, I encountered significant challenges when attempting to cancel the order and obtain a refund, which ultimately took 3-4 days to process. Additionally, despite our intention to switch from takeout to dining in, we were informed that this was not permitted. We were then advised to place a new order if we wished to dine in. It's worth noting that items ordered for takeout cannot be exchanged for dining in at the restaurant.

I finally had Japanese food full of Japanese flavor in the Bay Area! It's delicious, the portions are generous, there are set meals, and you can also sit at the bar and eat conveyor belt sushi. There are many people during meal time and you need to queue up.

This place represents successful teamwork. Everyone is crafting their work with a smile. The quality they produce is impressive. It is worth waiting in line every time. Best sushi and Katsu curry!

Tried dragon roll and 2 item lunch, overpriced for the taste and quantity

Probably the best sushi in the Bay Area. Friendly staff. Owner works with his wife in front of everybody. Always fresh fish.

The family and friends gathering go-to-place.Service is great, and the food is great (good portion!).After the lunch or dinner, have a casual walk at this lovely and cozy street of japan town.

Got the lunch special twice, and it didn't disappoint. All the items were tasty and nicely prepared. I've visited Japan and would say this dish is comparable to what I've eaten there in terms of authenticity. The service was friendly and quick too, despite how busy lunch hour tends to be here. The only thing is that the eating area is not the most spacious. However, I've eaten at smaller places in Japan so it's not a bother to me but worth noting.

Fresh sushi, especially enjoyed the specialty rolls. Always enjoy sitting at the bar to see up close the available variety of offerings. Service is fantastic. Our local go to place for sushi and other Japanese cuisine.

lets note

It was busy at Friday lunch time. Big line but didn’t wait so long. Ordered special Nigiri and around $30 with soup and green tea. Waited a bit long but quality was good. I think affordable price with quality sushi.

Seems like this is everyone's favorite spot for sushi in Japantown! Consistent quality and delicious! Bento boxes are very large portions.

I ordered to go and there were other customers who got to go also, the servers kept telling us 5min multiple times and I ordered at 6:40 and they said to come back at 7:20 and at 7:20 my order still wasn't ready as they kept saying 5min over and over to me and other customers who actually have been waiting for 2 hours! I got the sashimi bento and it was missing the "two chef choices" I only got the sashimi. For $30 this us very little food and i don't recommend anyone that wants to have a simple to go order here.

Extremely rude waitress. I understand that it was rush time, but the waitress decided to skip us on the waitlist and seat 2 other parties of similar size that came after us first. We arrived 20 minutes before the other groups and were multiple places above them on the waitlist.

Food used to be better. Sushi Boat Town is better at this point. Spent $60 and went away a little bit let down. Food wasn't bad, just not the same as years past. Bummer.
