This has been a family favorite for special occasions for many years. Great food, super friendly service, nice atmosphere, and we enjoyed watching the sunset on the marina. We had the prime rib dinner with pear blue cheese salad, and crème brûlée for dessert. My favorite meal!
At first the experience was good. Not sure if waitress was new but she got order wrong. One of our guests never received his meal. The clam chowder was lukewarm warm/cold. The dessert ordered to go was brought out to table instead. Two of got sick from our meals. We both ordered crab stuffed sole. The experience was mediocre at best. Will not be returning.
As one who's frequented Horatio's for decades and held a social group celebration event there in July, even planned a corporate event there in years past - so there's a history I can compare to. Yesterday was my Godmother‘s actual birthday and we chose Horatio's out of all the Bay Area venues to choose from.
