Recommended this place to a coworker and she said her and her husband really loved it. I have been coming to this place for years as this is part of my neighborhood. My grandmother would always take us here as a kid. And growing up I still order here very very grilled American/Mexican food. Everything is fresh. They have a very nice salsa bar and the chips here are very delicious. I usually order a burrito but here in this photo is a shrimp and steak chipotle salad and it was delicious. A little spicy, but I'm OK with spice. Lots of parking outside and dining tables inside and outside also a Starbucks right next-door.

Imagine come to Oakland and have bad tacos! Yup! Try to skip this place.Expensive, dirty, the tortillas are the worst, chips the same. Meat looks very cheap and old. Disappointed

This used to be a nice causal fine in place. This last visit was sorely disappointing. The portions are tiny and only okay.I ordered the fish tacos and what came out are more like street tacos. Only two and some tortilla chips in a basket. For $12 without tax and tip. That breaks down to $6 per street taco. Not worth it!I am not compelled to come back.

This La Salsa used to be an excellent place to eat. It was managed by an Indian family, and they were excellent. They ensured high-quality: always hot fresh, and large portions. This place is now garbage. The food is disgusting, no flavor, smaller portions… I threw most of my burrito in the trash. Another example of their care less attitude: they no longer even offer a soda fountain station offer no ice for your drinks; the station has been shut down because they are too lazy to maintain it. Also, the salsas which used to be excellent here but now are bland and have no flavor, synthetic Yet another example how a poorly managed place will cause it to go out of business. I won’t be sad to see this one go.

I'm not sure where all the flavor went but it wasn't in our food. There are plenty of other better options nearby.

Taquito and quesadilla platter is great. Fast service. Nice employees. Pricing isn't expensive

Very bland and just not good. Highly not recommended. Stopped on the way to the airport and wished I would have looked this place up first. I would have preferred to pay more at the airport.

It says they close at 9:30pm, I came at 7:35 and they tell you the staff is already closed! They should change the schedule as a suggestion so as not to waste time.

Lame business displays open at 7 AM on Friday on their own door sign, Google and Yelp. An employee came to the door at 7:01 saying they don't open till 8:00 and look stupid when I point out the sign says 7:00. Wasting my time on the way to the airport. Chingaso.

Fix the hours listed on yelp? Showed up 45 mins before listed close time and was greeted with locked doors.

I ordered the tacos plate. The tacos were huge, not street tacos, real taco size, 2 tortillas and over flowed with steak and chicken. It also came with chips and they have a huge variety at there salsa bar. The place is clean and the service is quick. There is no bathroom on premises, this was a deal breaker to one group that stopped in and left. I would come here again. Great value for your money. There is no ala carte. All items come as a meal. Tacos come with two tacos and chips, the other items come with rice and beans.

I actually liked this place but unfortunately I grabbed 2 roasted tomato salsas and when I got home took the top off one and it started bubbling on its own. It looked fine in at the condiment bar but I went an hour before closing so it may have been sitting out all day. That’s a red flag for me ??‍♀️

The food was really tasty! The manager was extremely helpful in navigating the menu with me in search of gluten friendly options. Their salsa and toppings bar was fresh and fully stocked. The decor is slightly outdated but the staff is friendly and kind. I would eat here again.
