I love this restaurant! They serve decent food, their menu is large, The cook in that spot is very experienced, I love a lot eating all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the attitude towards the clients is efficient. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all.

Favorite hk cafe in the Bay Area. Large menu from rice to soup noodles to baked dishes to desserts, this place has it! I love coming here on weekends with family before Covid because we could eat here and also get dessert. Overall, very affordable for large servings and everything that you get here will be very tasty. I have never got something I didn't like. In particular, I love these: - baked chicken spaghetti with red sauce (I usually am a white sauce person but the red here is so creamy and tasty!!) - beef noodle soup - coffee milk tea - hk styled waffles - anything with their curry!

This review is biased and makes generalizations. The short version is: good food, bad service. You can stop reading if you want. The rest is just a lengthy elaboration of "good food, bad service."The majority of negative reviews come from people who either 1) had bad service or 2) are unimpressed with food, or 3) both. Re: #2, the food is good and authentic. Well, good is relative, it's as good as you're going to get without going to Fremont or Chinatown in Oakland. If you don't like the food, it's because you don't like this type of Chinese food. (Hong Kong cafe food, which is what Hong Kong people imagine British/American food is)I am Chinese and these are the types of places I went to as a kid, as a teenager, as a college student, and as an adult. The servers are occasionally rude and talk trash about me in Chinese when I don't tip enough and often ignore me. The servers remind me of my parents. It's nice because the place reminds me of home. As mentioned by another reviewer, if the service is too good, I suspect that the food is Americanized. (i.e. not good, or Panda Express-ish). You may wonder how bad service could possibly be logically linked to the quality of food; I wish I could explain. It just is.

The food here is great. However, seating is limited. Still, the food is awesome.

Staffs are friendly. Foods are decent. Price is right. It is our go-to place for HK cafe food. Their honey glazed chicken wings is sooo good.

I just called the restaurant, asking if they have spicy fried chicken wings. The person who answered the phone, could not understand me and I couldn’t understand her. She kept asking if I wanted fried rice, I kept telling her I needed to know if they had fried wings, after a minute or so of going back and forth and my question not answered, she hung up on me.

Want give zero star if I can. Every time when I go there for dine in or togo, NO SERVICE! I come here just for pickup the food and I didn't owe the fuxking waitress million dollars! Yelling to me when she asked me use the credit card machine on the table.

Solid, no frills (but clean!) HK cafe to get your canto comfort food fix. It's my grandma's favorite place to grab an easy meal and you can tell that many others think the same, because almost every time I've been there the place is PACKED with Chinese families all chowing down on their favorite dishes. The service can get spotty when it's busy, but that just adds to the authenticity right? One of the things that makes this place great is that the menu is pretty extensive so there's bound to be something that appeals to everyone. Some items are going to be better than others, but overall I've always been satisfied. A few highlights off the top of my head: The bowls of jook/congee are huge - definitely enough to share amongst a few people if you're ordering family style. I also liked the sweet and crispy spare ribs. They were just the right amount of fried with good flavor. They also have a ton of different Asian desserts that are v instaworthy. They're open until 1am every day, aka the perfect spot for a late night snack or dinner when fast food just won't cut it.

Late night Chinese Food spot.

Pretty good place to grab a late night meal. Despite's the grumpy staff, your orders comes out fast and hot. The meals I got were pretty decent for the price. We were a group of 4 with a total of 5 orders and a soda, our bill came out to $60. I'd come back here again. Great place to stop by and eat on the late night if you happen to pick somebody up from the airport or BART station nearby.

Too expensive for what it supposed to be. Hong Kong style tea cafe should be budget friendly. Not here. Seafood fried udon, $13.95...what the hell? My didn't even like the taste and I had to eat it. A full desert menu that is 10 pages plus with picture. Do people really come here for their over priced deserts?

I think this place gets horrible reviews because people coming in expecting some really great service, but honestly if an Asian place treats you TOO well...you know, it might not be authentic LOL. Typical HK cafe vibes Pros: - late night hours - fave place of me and my friends on a Friday night after being out late and needing some substantial sustenance - Solid food honestly! I really like their beef brisket noodle soup, and my (super white but cultured) boyfriend just introduced me to the egg chicken dish with rice. - their kimchi fried rice (KFR) is always a staple for us - good location - close to iTea, 85c, sushi delight, it's honestly a stop where there's something in the area for everyone if people don't want anything from leisure - their teapots that come out on each table are like somehow REALLY GOOD LOL - the tea never comes out TOO boiling hot and there's always somehow enough.... - good for savory meal or desserts Cons: - slow service (takes quite a long time to get the check) - okay service - not a ton of space sometimes - can get crowded when all the Asians are out to play - since it's one of the few places millennials AND older Chinese immigrants like - tbh best time to go is like mid day Saturday

Good place due to their very late hours. They close at midnight while most other Chinese restaurants close around 9-10pm. Good food usually but can be lackluster sometimes. Small cafe with limited seating. The restaurant area is not too big but somehow the servers can sometimes forget to come back and take your order. Don't come during peak dining hours. There's usually a wait. Oh, and don't go wearing your nice clothes there. You will pick up the kitchen scent just from eating there. The ventilation is not so good inside. All the fumes from the kitchen escapes into the dining area and your clothes will pick it up. My fresh clean clothes now smell like the kitchen and its annoying

I tried the place with coworkers. Everything we ordered were okay. I didn't try the desert as I wasn't impressed by the food I ordered. I'll update my review when I bring my daughter for deserts. Staff members were super nice. It has limited parking and it shares parking space with Safeway and other businesses and restaurants so it is best to beat the lunch hour.
