Ice cream cone, the ice cream was not that good... sat in my vehicle to enjoy... the parlor is an old building, and it looks not to clean.. hmmmm no coming back.. even though the server/cashier was friendly Parking: Limited parking spaces shared with another company.

I use to go here a lot & their ice cream was real good. It's just located on a sketchy place I feel but overall I had good experience here before.

I've been coming here for almost 30 years. This is my neighborhood ice cream shop. I live right by here and I never experienced this in my life. This older lady who worked here seemed so stressed out making my order! I came here with my family of 4 and we all got something each time she asked me anything else and I'd say what we wanted she started talking rude as she walks back . Like lady I can hear you!!!! I felt that was very disrespectful. The young guy working there he ended up taking over the sundae and he did a great job. But the lady make 2 of my milk shakes and 1 felt so light it was mostly air bubbles and tasted more like milk! I'm not going to say this is my last time coming here because my kids love ice cream and this is our neighborhood shop we walk to from home but I am not ordering from that lady if I see her again. She needs to retire because she was so stressed out. No customer service at all. I would give 5 star but just because of that lady I'm giving 1 star. Sorry lords ice cream talk to your employee.

Post lunch milk shake! Clancy's is closed on Wednesdays, and I wasn't going to be denied! We swung over to Loards and got our fix. The shop is in front of their production facility. There's a small parking lot and plenty of street parking. Not sure what happens at night though. We were greeted from the back room as we entered. Apparently, the person who works the counter has other responsibilities as well. She came out very quickly, was friendly and asked how she could help us. The shop is a throwback to ice cream parlors of olde. There was an open case with sodas and a coffin case with plenty of "pints" & "quarts". The flavor menu was on a board above and behind the counter. The service freezer was a older type design where each rectangle and two doors that were hinged and could be opened separately or completely removed from the opening. The doors were not see-through unlike a more contemporary ice cream parlor. She got a Champagne Sherbet Freeze which she thoroughly enjoyed. It started with a new can of Club Soda, the remainder was presented to us when the drink was completed. I got a Coffee Shake. It was all ice cream, no milk. Probably thick enough to stay in the cup upside down and thin enough to go through a straw. Not a bad deal for $5.95. Definitely worth a visit when in the area and craving ice cream! Next time, a Banana Shake with Banana!

Loard's Ice Cream began in 1950 in the 'dro. Their factory is located here. 1st tasted their ice cream in Alameda decades ago. It's been years since i licked a Loard's ice cream. Minimal decor. Service quick and cordial by Asian adult. Got a sample. A few tables inside for sitdown. Small parking lot. Offerings: ice cream, shakes, floats, sodas, sherbet freezes, packed ice cream to go Licks: 2 scoop on cone (5.95) -coffee & mango decent sized scoops Natural flavas, natural ingredients. not overly sweet, dense not soft. Made the old fashioned way... -ice cream didn't melt quickly...deliz...

Best homemade ice cream in town! Service is so great! Their scooped are extremely generous and speaks volumes why the line is always out the door! Must try if you're not already a local

A staple in San Leandro. Pros: A scoop is under $4, which makes it totally affordable. So many options including some unique Latinx and Asian flavors. Parking and outside seating make it an easy place to get a scoop. Cons: The staff. I've been here now 5 times this summer and not once have I gotten a smile from anyone working here. Not even a welcome in, or any human connection or anything. Given that this is an issue with the other Loard's location, I think this might be an issue with the company. Ambiance is sterile, despite the fun flavors and toppings. It's as if they don't really want you there. Location is a bit off the path which seems nice but also a bit scary with no good lighting.

I love the blueberry ice cream that they have there. It is so delicious. Especially on a hot summer or spring day. Or perhaps just anytime. We go there and get the lemon ice cream. Also that's old school you know but this place is awesome. It's been there in the community for some years and I love it.
