Yummy food, great service and short wait for food. This is my go to spot if I'm in the mood for a bento box. Their beef teriyaki is delicious and I'm more of a chicken teriyaki type of person.

This place is actually a sports bar. Kind of noisey with an echo effect into the dinning area. Not a great place to just sit and talk. They have a stage for weekly bands to place with a cemented area for dancing.

I have been coming to Sushi Avenue for many years, but have not been here many times since the ownership change. The best parts of the restaurant are the same, with a lovely interior, fresh fish, and a wide selection of specialty rolls. The service is better now, with more attentive, friendly, and professional servers. My favorite items are still on the menu, some with minor changes. While I like the idea of the menu with pictures, the way it's presented is unwieldy and hard to use.

Large menu, love that you can see pictures of all the items. Fish was fresh and serving portions were more than ample. Top it off with good service. Will be going back!

If I could do less than a star I would. Completely disrespected we walked in and it happen to be my first time there by the door it says wait to be seated and there was another couple sitting waiting there. When we walked in they did not greet us they went on to seat the couple in front of us and then they just left us there waiting. We sat there for 12 minutes with no greeting or anything another couple walks in and they sat them down right away. They gave us dirty looks and when my baby made noise they would look over AFTER they sat down the couple that got there AFTER us they then told us to pick a table towards the middle with attitude. I've never been to a place where they treat customers like that. Super arrogant, they have an attitude, don't acknowledge or greet people not baby friendly not coming back ever it's horrible service.

The food was terrific. Everything we had was really delicious and fresh. The wait staff was kind of awful though- untrained waitress putting her thumb in my miso bowl and salad bowl to put it on the plate, server-kid bumbling around delivering food to the wrong tables, saying vaguely insulting things ("is this all for you?" he asked my 6'5" husband who ordered two sushi rolls). So, 5 stars for the food and 1 star for the wait staff. Would go here again with wildly revised expectations about the staff, and will enjoy the delicious fishes again. :)

Haven't had good sushi or teriyaki in a while so we stopped in here after an afternoon walk at the SL Marina. Not only was it very reasonable in price, it was simply fantastic! I'd say that the parking lot is small considering the size of the restaurant but at the time we went there was plenty of space to park. We will definitely be back!

First and fore most, the food is great. I have gone there a few times and although I really like the food the service is extremely horrible! The waitress named "Kate" (I am sure she gave me a fake name because I asked her several times what her name was) is extremely rude. And she is the only one serving tables and taking orders. Today was the very last straw, but let me tell you about my experience at this place since the first time. The first time I went, they took forever to get our food, every time we kept asking Kate to give us a straw or a napkin she kept giving us attitude. She also took forever to give us our checks. We gave this place a second chance and same thing happened! Not only that, but when we asked her for the check she stated "We will bring you the check when we are ready". Keep in mind that we had already been waiting for our check, and we told her we had to go back to work because we were on our lunch break and we were already late because we had been waiting for her to take us our check. This time that we went today, when she gave us our drinks i asked her for straws for all four of us. She ONLY gave us THREE! When I asked her for another one she rolled her eyes at me and threw it on the table! She must of realized she did something wrong because when she came back with our food her attitude was totally different. She was actually polite, so I said "ok maybe she will be nice this time" but I was WRONG! When it was time to get our check we asked her to split it in 4 ways she complained and said we should of told her from the beginning because she can only do it 3 ways. I had cash in my hand and she said "Oh you need change" and took my $20 bill out of my hand and gave me change. When we tried to explain to her how to split it she was rude. And I ended up paying with my card because I did not have enough cash and still trying to make it easier for her (Because she looked confused on what we were telling her) I gave her my card. She came back and gave the booklets to only two people, but never mentioned that my card was also in one of those booklets. When I went up to her she asked me with attitude "what do you want?" I told her she never gave me my card back she ROLLS HER EYES AGAIN and tells me to go check the booklet because she put it there. And stated she never told me it was there she only gave them to the rest of the people but never said anything about mine. This will probably be the last time I go to this place because of her poor customer service. The food is great but Kate is extremely rude and unprofessional. 1.5 stars!!

If i'm ever in San Leandro and I want some sushi this is the place i'm coming to. Aside from the cool structure and decor at this location their food is delicious here. Been here a couple times and every experience has been good

Sushi were delicious, dessert was awesome. Two downsides though: - They really felt understaffed - two waiters for a whole bunch of tables, so you're likely to spend some time waiting for their attention. - Soy sauce (both of them actually) was leaving some bitter aftertaste, which I think I've never felt visiting other places with the same brand. Not sure if it's my taste or there's really something wrong with the sauce, but that spoiled overall great taste of sushi for us (my husband felt the same). Nonetheless, we enjoyed our visit and will probably visit again.

Came here for lunch a few fridays ago. I really liked the setting and ambiance inside, however the sushi was not the best. I feel like the flavors could have been more fresh. I might try it again hoping for better quality food.
