I stooped in here for lunch while traveling thorough the PCH. I grabbed a hot teriyaki rice bowl. The dish had been sitting on a warmer and was hot.When I went to eat it the chicken was dry, hardly any teriyaki sauce and the the rice at the bottom and around the edges was dry and hard. Not very appetizing. I understand that the business model has changed in light of recent events, but this new hot food presentation isn't working for me.
I went to the Whole Foods in SLO even though it only got a 3 star rating. They are the only place where you can buy the Engine 2 products. I found this to be a wonderful place to shop. They have so many fresh offerings on their salad bar. I bought enough for two days for $8.99 per pound. They offer many vegan items and I had a vegan berry muffin to die for. Absolutely impressive. I adore this place, providing the perfect atmosphere for drinking coffee at any time in the day. At entering, I'm greeted with a smile and surrounded by comfortable furniture, and beautiful artwork. The people are very kind, attentive and work hard to create a welcoming environment and excellent coffee, 5 stars!
