“Dropped in here one late morning with my dog in tow. Glad they have a nice patio, and they asked me to choose the table I wanted. They brought a small bowl of water for Sarge, and I thought that was a nice touch. The patio sits right next to a main road on Santa Rosa, so there was a lot of traffic noise. This is not your quiet, intimate diner, but then, that's not what we wanted. It wasn't so noisy as to impact our quick breakfast. I can't comment on any inside dining. I had biscuits & gravy, eggs and bacon. It was tasty, and I enjoyed it. Service was efficient but not overly friendly. I was in and out in maybe 40 minutes, and since I had stuff to do, I appreciated the speed. It's not the best breakfast I ever had, but it was fine, and I'd come back here again next time Sarge & I have errands to run.“
“IHOP is a classic breakfast place. Haven't been here in awhile but they've definitely upgraded their menu since the last time I was here. Their pesto was delicious and the tomatoes were really fresh. Waffles were yummy also. There's a ton of seating here and my waitress was very nice!“
“Man o Man.. I love biscuits and gravy and these guys shut me up!! First of all the single serving is HUGE (and I’m a fat guy) so get one and SHARE. The biscuit is big and flaky and hits all the right notes but the gravy is bewitching.I wish I had found them earlier on my many trips to pismo beach.“
“There was a bit of wait to be seated but that is the first sign of good food. The quality was very good. The kids had pancakes and eggs and they loved it. We had omelette and bacon and sausage and it was all very good. The sausage was especially good. It wasn't too sweet or too much hickory flavor and just right. The seats were a little tighter fit if you are on the larger side. But still comfortable enough. It gave me a feeling of an old breakfast place which is exactly what I was looking for.“
“I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about going to a place called the 'BudgetCafe'. This place has been in SLO for ages. Ever since my father-in-law told me a bad food related story from this place, that happened many years ago, I was definitely not gonna go! I guess maybe it's now under new owners? And I heard the food was good, so my husband and I decided to try it. The atmosphere is old school diner feel. I tend to like that home style blast from the past feeling. I had the country scramble with a biscuit and my husband had pancakes and eggs and bacon. My scramble was delicious. Topped with cheese and had sausage, potatoes, onions etc. The biscuit was also delish! Husband said his pancakes were good and they were huge! Also served with boysenberry syrup. They have whipped butter, too. Price was reasonable and the food was good. Our waitress was nice and attentive! We will be back“
