I've been in San Diego for 14 years now and finally found barbecue that's worth buying. I got the sampler platter and was a thousand percent happy. Great flavor great smoke tender juicy everything you want in your barbecue!
And I'm a Le Cordon Bleu Chef so my standards are higher.than others.

Came here on a whim the other day because my son and I felt like trying something different. We went for the $12 daily lunch special they have until 4pm. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with warm welcomes from the staff which immediately made me feel comfortable enough to stay. We got the barbecue chicken plate. My son and I loved the fries. I’m with Moises on this one. I was pleasantly surprised by what was supposed to be a quick in and out. We ended up getting the sampler (4 meats and 4 sides) after a basketball tournament and were very happy we did. No one will ever match central coast tri tip - I am totally biased on this particular cut of meat as I grew up in the area where it originated. That said, the meat recipes in here work. Brisket was melt in your mouth level done, rib tips were maybe a tad over done...
