Nice, cozy coffee shop tucked away in San Marino. Coffee and food was good. The ingredients in the breakfast burrito I got tasted homemade. The owner, Gaju, was very friendly. During the two hours I sat there, there were plenty of people coming in and out, heading a lot of hellos and good-byes. It has that air of a community kind of place. Plenty of food and drink options. Will definitely come back again.
Apsara gets pretty busy on the weekends but there's plenty of seating so finding a spot to sit isn't usually a problem. The staff are really nice. The menu is very extensive and can be a little daunting at first. Apsara is very open with lots of fresh air as part of it opens into the courtyard, so be warned in the summer; it can get quite warm if you're here for a long time. Hidden in a quiet place that gives a small-town vibe in the middle of a huge city. It is perfectly located in San Marino, a few minutes' walk/drive from Pasadena. They have coffee, beer, wine, sandwiches, and lunch items. I had their vegetarian sandwich and a latte - probably the best pesto sandwich I have had in quite a while.
