Much needed addition to this neighborhood. Good sandwiches and tacos - you can really taste how good bread is.

The steak was overcooked to the point of being almost inedible. Shrimp was dry and flavorless. The salads were hilariously bad.

Very nice place, but service is really bad. Employees prefer to talk amongst themselves than to take care of the customer. I can’t tell you what the food tastes like cause I couldn’t try it. DO NOT CAME HERE.

I got the breakfast burrito, with chorizo instead of bacon, and it was SO delicious. The portion was ample, and it looked as good as it tasted. There was a enough food to split with a friend and have a lighter breakfast.I love a good breakfast burrito, and this is my favorite one as of today. Worth every penny of the $14 I paid. This is my first time here, and I don’t understand the negative comments some people gave. The service was polite and quick. The nice lady who took my order ever cracked a joke which made me smile. Maybe we get back the energy we are putting out?Vegetarian options: This is such an odd question. I eat meat. And every vegetarian I know has wildly different versions of the veg-diet from each other. Most of them have rather confusing exceptions in their definitions! Like the supposedly strict vegan couple I know, who on Christmas Eve ordered a seafood pasta, and a whole branzino (that’s delivered with fish head and scales still on it when presented at the table). If you can read an online menu, you can decide from home if it’s veg enough for you. Right?!

Such an unfortunate experience. I walked into Cielo around 3:20pm and placed an order shortly after and received our drinks around 3:30pm. The cashier says, “Our kitchen is closed so you can’t order food.” My friend and I just order coffees thinking ok.. maybe something’s wrong with the kitchen so we can’t order any food. We walk over to the seating area when we noticed a worker quickly stacking chairs and pulling them to the side as if she was about to mop. I asked if they are closing soon and she abruptly states, “We close at 3. It’s just to go orders.” She is stating this while there are about 12 patrons sittings at other tables.. sitting there peacefully without any worker telling them they are already closed. There was no patron hastily finishing up their food/coffees or packing up their computers. According to Google and Yelp, Cielo doesn’t close until 8 on Saturdays. If they closed at 3pm and we walked in at 3:20pm, why didn’t a worker kindly apologize and explain they were closed? Why didn’t the cashier say, “We actually closed at 3. We will be open again on xyz date.” Or even “The kitchen is closed and we are only taking to go coffee orders.” I would’ve asked for a refund if the cashier hadn’t started making our coffees yet.The hours on Google and Yelp are misleading… the information the workers are giving is misleading. I haven’t even tried their coffee as the sheer experience has left an awfully bitter taste in my mouth.

The food is pretty good. Like 4.8/5. Nothing special that you would go out of your way to try but just standard brunch food. The service wasnt great. Everyone was super duper nice but it's clear they weren't organized. You had one person covering all the tables then a bunch of other people (like the manager and bus boy) trying to fill in their gaps. Pricing was expensive, which is understandable given the cost of business in that area, but it didnt seem worth the high price.

Came by for a study sesh with a pal Drink- -Cold Brew: it's very light. Pal appreciated it since it's 3p and we're drinking coffee and studying and also.. coffee runs through our veins... BUUUT I prefer it to be stronger. Also their lids are a bit drippy, or maybe only we got those lids?? Ambiance- -relaxed and comfortable whether inside/outside. There seem to be enough outlets, but it's a good mix of people studying/reading/working and people hanging out and it works! Worth a try though I know I haven't tried their food food just yet. It's a bit out of the way for me so their coffee doesn't draw me. But I'll be by likely again and will try for some fooood!

A cozy cafe to grab some delicious food and coffee/tea drinks. Service was very good. Staff were friendly and polite. They bring out your order as soon as it's ready. Price is comparable to most other cafes around. 1. Grated Egg Avocado Toast (5/5) Stinky, yet satisfying! You get the crunch from the toast and the rich creaminess from the avocado. The arugula gives it additional herby flavor. They are not skimpy when it comes to the avocado or egg. This was my favorite. 2. Cielo House Salad (4/5) Not worth $11 (without proteins). The arugula was fresh and fragrant. There's large chunks of grated Parmesan cheese over it that doesn't have a lot of flavor. I like the chopped fennel bulb as it adds a nice crunch to the salad. Finally, it's coated with a light citrusy lemon vinaigrette dressing, which was the perfect compliment for the arugula's strong flavor. Just wish the dressing came on the side instead of mixed in for to-go order. I will make sure to ask for it on the side if I ever get this again. 3. Cinnamon Leche (3/5) Ok drink... it didn't blow my mind. It's strong on the cinnamon, but otherwise, it's just a latte drink. I didn't taste any milky flavor, but it could be because I got it with almond milk instead and went light on the sugar. Overall, decent experience. I'd come back.

So I love that this location is close to where I work, a cute neighborhood cafe which has two things I really care about-- great sourced baked goods (from The Bread Lounge) and delicious cold brew. They're open early, but the last two times I've tried to purchase a cold brew, they're out. Kind of annoying and probably won't hit them up again for that reason. If I'm making the effort to treat myself at your shop, you should have it available. Otherwise, the location is great, the shop opens up so you feel like you're dining alfresco. I really want to like this place and I'd probably frequent it more if I knew they had what I want consistently.

Great addition to the neighborhood with delicious brunch options. I wish there was more seating as I think this place is going to get busy as more people learn of it. Not cheap but high quality ingredients for sure. Easy street parking.

We had a meeting in San Marino and arrived an hour early. We looked for a good place for coffee and breakfast and found Cielo. The breakfast tacos were delicious and reasonably priced. The coffee was also quite good. We had a cold brew and latte. It's a clean and spacious coffee shop with plenty of seating. Nice place to work, meet some friends or enjoy a cup of coffee.

I had the greatest experience dining at cielo today. The food was delicious but what I appreciated most was the customer service I received from the staff, Alondra and Elizabeth were both very helpful when it came to menu suggestions and helped me pick the most delicious sandwich! I highly recommend coming here for a quick lunch or even dining with a friend. The restaurants ambiance was unhurried and peaceful.

My experience at Cielo on San Marino was disappointing. While the breakfast burrito was okay, it fell short in several areas. The bacon was overcooked to the point of being hard to eat, and there was an overwhelming amount of cheese that overpowered the entire dish. The only saving grace was the perfectly cooked eggs. However, the service was the biggest letdown. The staff, particularly the lady serving, lacked basic courtesy and customer service. She didn't greet us and seemed disinterested, giving the impression that she was only there for the paycheck. Overall, while the food had its moments, the poor service significantly detracted from the dining experience.

Tried out this spot for the first time this past week. Party of two, ordered the steak sandwich and the egg and chorizo tacos. Also ordered the almond danish. Service was quick and friendly. The steak sandwich was tasty. The bread was soft and flavorful and the flavor of the sandwich was on point. I would say the steak could have been a little more tender. The sandwich came with a flavorful side salad. The tacos were ok. Flavor was good but the tortillas tasted like they had been warmed in a microwave. The almond danish was also good. Cafe itself was had warm vibes, and was very busy even in the later afternoon. I would go back.
