Julienne Fine Foods And Celebrations

I used to frequent this place with my family when I grew up around the corner. I was in the neighborhood and stopped in for a cortado which took 15 minutes to get to me and had basically no foam at all / was flat like drip coffee and was lukewarm. I kindly asked if it could be hotter and they returned in scalding hot (lol ok). You’d think an establishment that’s been a staple for so long in such an esteemed neighborhood would have everything down to a T.

Julienne's is a wonderful institution in San Marino. I just recently had the spinach quiche, which was delicious. Everything at Julienne's is top notch.

This place is hidden deep in San Marino. A place that has delicious food, coffee, pastries and more. One side serves amazing food, some breakfast dishes but not a full menu. Doesn’t matter though, everything is great! The other side is a boutique bakery, it has lots of other items for home or kitchen decor. This is a must go to experience, to the quiet, beautiful Julienne’s outdoor area.

Very cute atmosphere and a great place for an intimate meal or a very small celebration. The earl grey vanilla latte and scone were delicious. The waiters were not the friendliest but the waiter's assistants were. I did not shop the store that is located inside but it did look adorable.

Beautiful place. Great vegetarian omelette really amazing coffee, there is a gift shop and delicatessen and pastry shop. Also plenty of parking on the street. Highly recommend

What an expensive disappointment when we were realling looking forward to something special.

We went for their tea service. Entering the restaurant, the front of house staff of 5 people paid no attention to us when we were looking to find our table. Instead, 3 were joking around and doing nothing. The place had about 10 tables seated, so it's not like they were overwhelmed or anything. Just didn't seem to care.

Sandwiches and pastries were stale, and desserts didn't have much flavor besides sugar. No nuance. Same quality you'd expect at a Starbucks.

The staff did get a little more attentive when the manager/owner showed up.

I can't imagine going back and cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

“Fine Foods” is a bit of a stretch! Bought a $10 jar of raspberry jam here, only to find that the primary ingredient was corn syrup! Manager refused to accept a return, even for store credit. Average food at astronomical prices — shop with caution!

The best place for lunch and food in San Marino. The chicken and tarragon sandwich is incredible.

The current and reisin loaf is very DRY.

I went with my friend, there was no waitress, tables ditry, we order at the register then the we needed to find a table, the employees were not polite. It looks like buffet you you everything there for yourself. The food wasn't the best. I won't go back there anymore.

The food was pretty good with reasonable price.
But!!! But the service there is totally awful there, especially for those 2 female servers.
I ordered the Sandwich special with chicken plus pasta and iced coffee. Firstly, she brought me the hot coffee, that’s fine, I took it. Then she came with the fruit instead of pasta, I went to the cashier to change. Later she brought me the Turkey instead of chicken, I went there again to change. Finally, they brought the right one but without providing a fork!!! At last, two female servers complained about us while serving another table “They switched their dishes…”, when I explained to them it’s their mistake, they just pretended not hearing and left without apologizing or even saying anything.
How can you be rude like that?!? How can you be a server but not only brought the wrong thing 3 times but also being so rude!?
Thanks the male server for listening to us complaining about the 2 girls, but I still want to post it here.
If they are just being rude to us, they are racist to Asian, if that’s the same case for every customer, their characteristics has some problem, those 2 doesn’t deserve to be a server in this place.

This is a lovely little place for breakfast or lunch. It has a nice outdoor patio out front.

Love their tarragon chicken salad sandwiches.
