This little gem is inside Mills peninsula San Mateo. Not expected for a hospital. I would come here even if not visiting the hospital. Diner type food served up by the 2 brothers that own it.
This coffee shop has the best coffee - the house blend - in San Mateo County. The brothers who are owners are very friendly and serve authentic great Middle Eastern food like their mother used to make - actually she still makes it and cooks here for them. This cafe is located within MIlls-Peninsula Health Center in Downtown San Mateo. This is a popular breakfast, lunch, and snacks to-go stop for patients and their families.

This is a real find inside of Mills hospital. Love their breakfast. And their Mediterranean salad (tomatoes and cucumbers) is the best. I even stopped in there for some Mediterranean salad take out. Super friendly brothers. I happy place. Like a little community there. The patrons know each other and visit across tables and at the counter.
