I can't believe I haven't yet left a review for Icicles! My favorite here is their Bravocado that is made with fresh avocado; I think about it from time to time! If they're out of avocado, my next goto is the Mai Thai / Thai tea flavor. Given each order comes with many rolls, my hubby and I always share an order between the two of us. The staff is delightful here. It's a local business I gladly support!

Rolled ice cream . Yum . If Benihana's wanted dessert, this the place to go. There is a self service machine that takes credit card. If unsure on how to use the machine you can also order with the person up front. Being that this place is located in San Mateo Downtown the parking situation can be difficult but not impossible. There is a couple garages nearby and always that Walgreens if needed I always get the bravacado and the bravacado today was served by the manager. Leave it to manager to roll it up, it came out chefs kiss

I've been before the ice cream is everything but the people there should at least be honest with the hours I came here with my mother and it was 30 minutes before closing and when I arrived it was already closed on Google it says they close at 10 but it looked like they've been gone an hour before that which was very disappointing so I guess next time I'd hopefully have to be there an hour before closing to make sure I'd get some ice cream

Came right before closing and I appreciate still being able to get my kids ice cream after a long night. Kinda pricey but fun for kids to watch them make the rolls.

Looks like a pretty casual ice cream place after dinner but just note it's $13 for a cup of ice cream. (but don't forget that you have 4 toppings included!) Got Cereal Killer! It's always a fun experience looking at your ice cream being made and eating rolled ice cream. The ice cream is all rolled up, dense, so it feels kind of chewy. Still feels like this is the most expensive post-dinner dessert option in the peninsula, but fun to try if you never tried rolled up ice cream.

Recommended. Higher end of pricey but it's a novelty. You order using a touchscreen and wait in or outside. Chatted with one of the employees and he was explaining that the warmer weather makes the process slower as it's hard to keep the cooling plates at temp, so the busyness on hot days isn't just because they are slow or poorly staffed; they are literally making ice cream right before your eyes! Really fun to customize and even more fun to eat :)
