“Family owned cafe in San Mateo. The service is so friendly and homely. The decor is well curated. And most importantly the concept is soooo cool. A play on the Indian sweet Barfi, Barfia serves custom Barfi and a bunch of cultural drinks and food native to India and Philippines. Love this spot!“

“Reliable sandwich/wrap/toast spot. The servings are big, ingredients taste fresh, and flavors are balanced. Nothing special, but every neighborhood needs a spot like this! Seating is tight inside but probably could fit 10-15, and there is more seating outside. Feels kind of lame that they charge a few cents more for a wheat tortilla.“

“Really nothing to complain about. A healthy (hopefully) Acai bowl with fresh fruits, almonds, and honey drizzle. What more could you ask for? All the fruits were definitely fresh and firm. The acai freeze was smooth. It tasted great. All for a reasonable (but yes, a bit pricey) price.

Plenty of chairs and tables outside in the mall courtyard for your to enjoy.

For the Hillsdale location, the shop is small and thus the line forms outside the store very quickly. I guess this is okay but it definitely caused some confusion amongst customers as folks did not know whether they were in the line or waiting for their order.

Vegetarian options: It's a juicery afterall. But rather than sell hotdogs, etc., they opted for a filling acai bowl which I think is perfect for Vegetarians and the health conscious alike.

Parking: Hillsdale Mall has plenty of parking, although a bit narrow.“

RareTea took over the Hawaiian BBQ space, and it’s serving up Okinawa and Jasmine milk teas every bit as good as it is back in Taiwan 🇹🇼! “Ordered here from DoorDash and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavor of my food. I got the tofu bowl and everything tasted fresh. I get nervous when ordering food for delivery but I would definitely order here again. I wanted to try the smoothie but wasn’t sure if they put it in a sealed bag or what, I’ll try that next time.
