Juice Bars & Smoothies near Menlo Park

“When I used to work in RWC I ate at their original location just outside of downtown. They've opened a second locale in Menlo and has been quietly opened for a year and I hadnt realized it. Especially because it is in the same strip mall as one of my fave Mexican places, El Fogon, which strangely had an Atherton Mom and her teenage daughter going to. this would never happen pre covid. Speaking of when they opened apparently most folks wanted the original location which is more Panaderia than Restaurant back then to have a bar. So they built this one with a nice bar and now post covid the demand for a bar isnt as strong. I hope that changes because I think their food is quite good. Also this locale brings in the bakery products from the other location so it is a small case. I had a conversation with a server a while back at a sushi restaurant of all places and found out they were from Guatemala. We got to talking about where all the Guatemlan food was and they said El Pollo Campero was basically the only one around. So when I told them about the original location of Guatemalteca we googled it and this one showed up. So during my errands I met a friend here for a meal. We had to go for the stuff we'd never heard of and that paid dividends. The Hilachas is a beef stew that texturally like ropa vieja with the protein being beef being in a thick gravy like stew of tomato and other aromatics. This was served with a salad, pureed black beans and rice. The churrasco was grilled beef similar to carne asada but spiced differently. it had similar components to the Hilachas but also came with a chili and some crema. We also got a Gutemalan Tamal of pork to share and they included the last of their Gutemalan style chile relleno which is smaller but amazingly tasty. The bonus here are the hand made tortillas! Food was a big win and since you're surrounded in a neighborhood of great Mexican food, Id stick to the Gutemalan fare to broaden your horizons. THe brother and sister which run this locale speak really good ENglish but they still helped me practice my Spanish which was nice. A great new add to the neighborhood and now it's going to be hard because I have to choose this or EL Fogon in the same block“

“I just love Mr. Green Bubble, and the Menlo Park location did not disappoint this past Sunday. The strawberry smoothie had the perfect consistency, sweet and creamy, and not too thick, just delightful. But they offer so much more than delicious fruit flavored smoothies. The genmeicha tea was satisfying, the popcorn chicken had great spice and was served hot and crispy, the oreo egg puff and chocolate egg puff were freshly made and had a nice chocolatey muffin-like texture inside (though I prefer the mochi waffles a little more). Ordering at the self-order kiosk was easy, drinks were ready in less than 5 minutes, and the food took about 15 minutes. Employee interaction was almost nonexistent and unnecessary, and we enjoyed our treats in an inviting indoor space decorated with lovely green artwork.“

“What a great discovery for me! I was waiting to order a sandwich close by, but it was taking too long. So, I walked over to Big Brothers Burgers and ordered the classic with fries. Wow! It was so huge yet delicious! Great service, and the ambiance was nice too. Highly recommend!“

“This is a really spacious location compared to other locations they have in the area. Many tables for seating! A few people were waiting for their drinks and socializing. Cozy little spot. This is conveneient across from Ramen Nagi and Son & Garden as well.I recommend the Mango Mochi Coconut Pudding and the Jasmine Coconut Pudding! These are my favorites, but definitely get pricey. For drinks, my go-to is the Da Hong Pao (DHP) Latte with Jelly! Very fragrant tea, but still creamy from the milk. A well balanced milk tea.“

“I used to go to Peet's on Laurel St. all the time, but they have competition! Groovy Goose is a new coffee spot in San Carlos, and their lattes are wonderful! Really good. The staff is young and friendly too. They could use a few more tables, but I'm happy to go and pick up a latte any day. They could also expand their pastry selection, but - don't tell Peet's - as for coffee, probably the best in San Carlos! I recommend.“

“Best boba I have ever had! I had the Creme Brulee Latte (also had black tea added to it) and it was so tasty! The boba pearls were so soft and chewy. The foam on top was delicious. I love that they use organic milk, which was the main reason I came. I can’t wait to come back and try more drinks.“

“I'm surprised by this Pink Pink. My experience in the Santa Clara location was so bad, I swore to never get it again. They sell soft serve/froyo here?! It's really yummy - totally would get again. I asked for a sample and they gave me a small cup. Peach oolong milk tea was good. Boba was chewy. Drink had a lot of creamer though...would tone it down. Overall, I would not be opposed to coming here again and trying their other drinks!“

“I've always liked happy lemon since their taste of all the happy lemon drinks in different branches have always stayed consistent. It's my first time at this particular location & I came at a slow time during mid day which is nice since the other locations I've been usually gets packed. The ambiance of this location is so nice since it's so clean inside & it's located near a lot of different food chains. Totally would go back to this location.“

“This location is super clean and well laid out with a few seats, well designed and laid out, tons of free parking, given it's located in a strip mall, across from TJ Maxx and next to a Starbucks. I went in today and was super motivated to get one of their smoothies, parched with thirst and despite it being freezing cold and windy, it really would've hit the spot. I don't know or understand what the latest thing is with so many restaurants and food/drink places where they have menu with boards on top of your head, or the scanning with your phones where you can only read the menu on the phone. I must be old fashioned and showing my 61 years of age because I want and need a real menu, either peper or laminated or something where I can hold, touch and feel it, because it enables me to properly take my time and read it. If I have to squint and strain my already myopic astigmatic eyes with my coke bottle eyeglasses, I'm straining to reas the fine print, and frankly, by the time, I'm done with the heavy lifting of straining just to read th damn thing, I'm done. I'm just freaking done. I don't want the food or the drink anymore, I'm irritated and frustrated with the simple process of ordering which has now become an ordeal and harder than if I'd made the damn thing myself. To be fair, the customer service here was really friendly and helpful but it was just one of those days where I needed a real menu. Geez what a codger I've become.“

“When Tiger Tea opened, I thought "does San Mateo really need another boba place?" I was wrong. We had a craving for Thai Tea and popped into Tiger Tea. Also saw their Avocado shake and was intrigued since I've only seen these at Viet restaurants. Both drinks were fantastic Thai tea had a strong tea flavor with just enough sweetness at 75% 5/5 Avocado shake was very refreshing, creamy and sweet 5/5“

“Addicted to their new heniken 0% beer drink. It has a very smooth rich profile that blends the flavors of a good brew with a fine lime green tea. Very unique flavor based on about 10yr of Boba enjoyment . Love it. It's a reason it's signature. I had 2 if not 3. Great way to cool down and I'm sure the rest of the drinks are just as great.Seating is good and it can get crowded. There is online ordering and kiosk.Parking: Park a block away at the street lots. No parking on this busy street. Plus side it's very walkable.“

“This is one of my favorite tea/boba places. They have a great variety of drinks that you don't see at many other places. It's a small place with no indoor seating. You order on a tablet and the staff make everything in a timely manner. I tried the egg pancake for the first time and it was delicious. I loved that it is shaped like a boba drink! My go to is the mango pomelo sago because it is the perfect combo of sweet and tart. I definitely recommend anything from here though.“

“Yummy!!!!! Was looking for a snack so stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. Small corner store in a small plaza! Not too busy so parking was no issue. You order on the kiosk and waffles take 10-20 minutes since they make it fresh. You'll get a text when your order is done and they also call out numbers loud enough to hear from the outside. Easy pickup window inside! There are some tables on the outside of the shop but none inside.Great selection of loaded croffles, matcha/coffee drinks, and of course mochi waffles! The price point is a lot better compared to other croffle/waffle places I've seen in the Bay!! Got the combo 5 which came with 4 pieces of mochi waffles, nutella, strawberries, and bananas. You get to choose which flavor your mochi waffle is so I got black sesame! I have to say that the black sesame flavor is not very prominent (maybe also because the nutella masked a lot of it) but the mochi texture is amazing!!!! Crispy on the outside and super chewy in the inside. Generous toppings as well- love a fruit/waffle combo!!I saw that they have catering options too so great for parties/work events!! Can't wait to come back and try other flavors/combos and their matcha/coffee drinks!!!“

“Usually the taco deals on Doordash suck because of the low review taco spots . However , this was the only highly rated place that didn't concentrate on tacos like they others . This place does it legit . Every single ingredient had flavor in it. And it was the first time I had a manglonada.Don't know how they get mangos so sweet , but they have all the classic ingredients.You can tell from the neighborhood that it has to be legit . Latin population in the area would hate it if they were washed out places like the ones only serving calorie conscious crowds.Glad i was able to discover this shop. Super super recommended“

Grabbed one on the way back from the dentist cleaning this morning.They make their own boba from scratch and you can see them make it super cool!Been here about a dozen times before. How did I not notice this.Super clean building with bathrooms. Never busy.They have specialties. My favorite is the Mr. Sun passion fruit green tea with boba and coconut jelly 25% sugar and less ice. You can customize it how you want.I actually like this place better than the options downtown.Nothing much to complain about here. “JIMMY V'S!!! One of my FAVORITE cafes to visit on Stanford Campus - they serve the most delicious breakfasts, lunch foods, and smoothies / shakes / drinks. Many of their foods that I have enjoyed include: Athlete Omelet, Norcal Scramble, Huevos Rancheros, Stanford Panini, Chicken Chestnut Salad Melt, and Olympian and Cardinal smoothies! Everything is so on point. All their omelets, paninis, sandwiches, smoothies, everything. I also always come back to the Olympian smoothie, which features apple juice, strawberry, banana, raspberry, peach, and low-fat yogurt. The people at Jimmy V's are literally some of the friendliest and warmest I've ever met - I always see them smiling and making conversation and connections with everyone. The inside of the Sports Cafe is lively with a strong community feel and Stanford school spirit, and it is also busy with students, professors, athletes - you name it! The red walls feature quotes like "Passion is Your Greatest Asset", "You Are Never Wrong To Do The Right Thing", and "Teams That Eat Together Play Together Win Together". Jimmy V's also has multiple HD TVs all around the cafe with different sports channels on. In addition, Jimmy V's has a huge outdoors seating area as well, with both sun umbrellas and natural shade from the large green trees. Jimmy V's is one of the best cafe's ever!!! I have loved everything I've ordered from them so far, and I can't wait to try more. Jimmy V's is also the perfect place for any kind of gathering - with friends, with professors, with sports teammates, or on your own! “This place is such a hidden gem! I originally came in because I was looking for a place with Rooibos milk tea. Their version is excellent (at 50% sugar or less), and they also have a lot of other interesting teas, like Four Seasons Jadeite (deep, vanilla-flower flavor), Roasted Sencha, several different oolong varieties, etc.They also have a sampling table, where you can smell some of the teas!Such a better experience than a lot of the popular bubble tea shops around.“

“I absolutely love the brand Kung Fu Tea. Each time I visit I order their Taro Milk Black Tea with tapioca pearls (Boba) with 50% sugar and less ice. In my opinion, it’s their best milk tea along with their infamous Kung Fu Milk Tea.This outlet specifically was very nice because their staff was very kind to offer an extra cup and straws to my playful 2 year old niece. They also offered WiFi as I lost connection on my mobile network. Do visit them if you are around in Palo Alto.They also have a few play stations for kids entertainment.“

“I love doing the one day juice cleanse. Cleanse 1 is my favorite by far. It's tough as the day goes on but you feel so good and refreshed the next day! I always order through the app which uses DoorDash. The juices arrive within an hour.“

“I got the small vitality bowl. It's solid and hits the spot and has a yummy toppings and is a good portion. I do however prefer acai that is much more concentrated in flavor. The place was cute and clean and has lots of other options (I've had smoothies from other locations and they're good). The staff is super nice and speedy.“

“I've been to this location three or four times? It's located in the new outdoor section of the mall. Each time I've gone here, there is someone new working the register. Meaning I get a different experience each time. Usually they've gotten better over time. My first experience was negative because a lady cashier denied me the usage of a personal cup. Which was confusing for me, because the Belmont location has been supportive of the environment. Next time I went, there was someone else working, so I asked if I can use a personal cup and he said yes! Since then I've been allowed to do it. Yay!!!!!This is a small shop. You order, pick up your drink and leave. If you need to use a bathroom to wash your hands or other stuff, hit up Shake Shack around the corner. The drinks are always flavorful. “I had an order placed the night before to come to my work then when I get to the door (the next day) to see if it was there, I didn't see anything. I checked on my Uber Eats come to find out that it got cancelled!!! You should inform your customers if it can't be delivered or it got cancelled. I got hungry during my lunch for my food. This is unacceptable if this continues. No one should be left hungry or unhappy waiting for their order.“

“It was a super hot day and I had just finished a long hike up the hill, I was ravenous and was researching restaurants near me, however, I did not expect to come across this gem of a criminally under represented restaurant. The food was phenomenal and there were plenty of choices in terms of menu items, and the staff was amazing. Highly recommend going here for lunch because I assure you that you will find some sandwich combo you like there.“

“The Tea Hut is my favorite place to get tea. It has a great selection of teas, all of which are made with fresh ingredients and premium teas. I like that they offer a variety of flavors, from classic black tea to more exotic options like jasmine green milk tea.“

“Fresh avocado, good scrambled eggs, nice sourdough toast. Even added a parchment paper between to prevent the lower slice from getting soggy. Portions felt a little small (sandwich loaf) and the avocado was covered in tajin. Couldn't find the option to remove tajin on the menu-iPad, but the picture made it look like only a little tajin was going to be added. Took a little while to navigate their software, asked for my phone number but staff called my name when it was ready, no text. Once ordered food was fast! Solid place, would go back and try to customize my order more.“

“They make their own boba! I love the different variations of boba they have here and the tea selection is large. Something about Mr.Sun tastes much more different than other boba shops. I would say those who have a picky boba texture preference might either love or hate this place. The tea is definitely on the sweeter side here, so I recommend going a level down from your usual. We were for two sandwiches Grilled Pork and Combo and beef spring rolls.
