Been a long time customer of Penelope’s since their very first foster city location and they are an awesome independently owned family business. I stop in about 1-2 per week and honestly have never had a bad experience in all my years of supporting them, their food and drink items just keep getting better and better! Definitely check em out!
Great place to bring the family on a Sunday.
They're doing a good job, being small local stores - a nice diversion from Starbucks junk. I'm a latte guy and find their coffee to my taste (well, maybe not as good as I make myself 🤔). The pastry selection is fresh, not shipped in plastic wrappers them warmed like SB. And the place is pleasant and open with sitting inside and out.

Penelopes Coffee and Tea is a clean, nice, and spotless establishment with bright, airy, and spacious decor. It offers plenty of comfortable, sofa-like seating and ample parking. The employees are friendly, lovely, sweet, polite, and cheerful, providing fast service. The food comes out quickly, hot, and tasty.
The menu features delicious food, including a breakfast burrito, vegetarian breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, sausage breakfast sandwich, and small, snack-sized burritos and lunch sandwiches. A real standout is their signature **womlettes**, including a veggie womlette, which are delicious, customizable, and a creative novelty. They also offer avocado toasts with various toppings, pastries, and beautiful, tempting baklavas. The coffee and tea is standard but refreshing, with incredible options like a lavender latte and Samoa latte, plus free and genuinely good coffee. Green tea is also served. The bathrooms are immaculate. It is a delightful, enjoyable, and lovely place to visit.
