Food was tasty and portions large. Recommend the piccata if ylike lemony flavor. Fairly small dining room with a few tables outside. Don't be deceived into not going because the reservation button says there are no tables available.

A little charming restaurant in downtown San Mateo, homemade bread with delicious dipping sauce. We had fried calamari and squid ink pasta (hand made in the shop) with prawns and mussels exceeding our expectations, definitely will visit again to try other dishes.

We were craving pasta this place definitely hit the spot. We got the Alfredo, lasagna , a special with scallops and a pasta with meat ball. The flavor is really got the food was nice and hot. The Alfredo and lasagna was my fav. They also provided water and bread and we ordered can drinks on the side. They were having issues with their system and were not accepting cards but they made sure to call and let us know beforehand so we came prepared with cash! Overall a great experience would recommend.

Giving this a five star due to the quality of the food, and the wine, even though it is sooo reasonable, its incredibly good too. The ambience is nice, but don’t let the dark exterior fool you. Or the word express. It is certainly not your typical “express” anything. It is delightful, relaxing, beautiful Italian music, and simply divine food. Service has always been good everyone we good here.

Had 415P early dinner reservations and went to restaurant and it was CLOSED. Called restaurant and no one answered. Looking inside it was dark, and no one was there. Left and dined elsewhere.
