“We wanted a place in Paso Robles near the freeway that we could stop and have pizza on the way home from seeing Hearst Castle with our family. Well not only did we find a pizza place, we found a really good one and from the amount of business they where doing on a Wednesday evening I would say many people agree! It is locally owned and operated by friendly, helpful people who know how to make great food. Now if only they would open one in the Fresno/Clovis area.“

“It was hard to tell from the humble exterior what a high quality, convivial experience awaited inside. The reviews were on target regarding the food which was delicious seafood (there were meat choices too but we picked it for its name Catch). We ordered the oysters which were fabulous with freshly grated horseradish and the clam chowder that my husband reluctantly shared. My husband chose the sand dabs which are hard to find and they were cooked perfectly. I chose the fish trio and it was superb, everything moist and sauce on the side which I prefer. Veggies were great, a selection cooked al dente. After a long discussion where the chef suggested we sample some the wines first we got to the perfect match since we both chose a different wine.“

“Have been here several times for Lunch and every dish I had was great! All item on the Lunch menu were $7 to $19! Great value for Downtown Paso Robles! 😋“

“I purposely always take 101 going north no matter what (over Interstate 5) for one reason: to stop and enjoy the El Jefe. Oh and going back home as well. The best bar none. Been stopping here since 2015.“

“Me and my partners decided to lay our hats down after a long day of old timin'. We got all the meats and chicken fried wings. The brisket was bomb. Wings were flying. Wine is buzzy. You can eat in a prison cell. It's givin' western. Ignore the bad reviews - they are from uptown snobs nobody wants to be around. USA!“
