“Sweet hole in the wall place. Super friendly service. Fresh chips and super delicious salsa. Tacos al pastor were amazing- spicy and savory. At some places, beans and rice are an afterthought. Here they are a worthy side. It's not fancy, but this place is worth a stop!“

“We have been coming to Gabi James for a few years now and have never had a bad experience. It is one of our favorite places to eat and we always recommend it to anyone in the area. Every employee we have encountered is personable and puts in so much effort to make customers feel welcome. The food always comes out so fast, the quality of the food is above so many other restaurants and the preparation is always consistent and delicious. Our most recent visit was especially great as we were celebrating my husband's birthday and had actually started our night at a different restaurant thinking we would try something new. We however lasted about 20 minutes at the other restaurant and realized how sub par the quality of their food, drinks and service was and instantly regretted not going to Gabi James as we usually would. Luckily we saw that it was early enough that we could still get reservations at Gabi James and decided to head there instead so we could have the dining experience we wanted for my husbands birthday and it was perfect as expected. We joked that we learned our lesson and wouldn't stray from our favorite restaurant again! Thank you for always making our experience so enjoyable!“

“Reservations were easy to make. However, I wish I had found this place sooner so that I could reserve a 7:30 time instead of 5:45. I heard they have a show sometime around 8:00, but we didn't get to watch it due to our reservation time.We were seated promptly in one of the cute booths. Our server was also quick to come to our table and explain the menu.My husband ordered the Ibèrico Old Fashioned. As our server brought the drink, he lit the cinnamon stick that was placed in the drink. We immediately smelled the sweet but smokey scent in the air. He enjoyed the drink very much.It was happy hour until 7:00pm so we decided to go with Tapas most of the night for two reasons. They were 50% off and this was we can try multiple items. Halibut & Shrimp Ceviche, Marinated Olives, Gambas Al Ajillo, Scallops A La Plancha, Albondigas Al Jeréz con Chorizo, Baked Empanada Duo, Braised Short Rib Coca, and the Seafood Paella "Marinera".We enjoyed all of the items minus the Braised Rib order. I think if we ordered it first, we would have finished it. But it was one of the last things to be ordered and I felt it lacked flavor compared to everything else I tried. Because I wanted to save room for the paella, I did not finish it. My husband and I do not have big appetites to the portions of the Tapas along with the paella were perfect for us. We left content for the rest of the night.Lastly, our reservation was for 5:45. We arrived a few minutes early but did not have to wait. I am not sure if there is a time limit on your reservation however we stayed for about 2 hours and never felt rushed. Even as it neared the show time and they got busier. I really appreciate that because I was able to try so many things in the menu. With that being said, we can't wait to come back and try more Old Fashioned's and food.“

“Popped in here for a drink before starting the night. They have valet parking which makes it easy to get around pine Avenue. There was a sugar cane in my drink that I loved. The ambiance is great and their snacks were a good accompaniment to the drinks. Music and vibe were chill. The bartenders take care of you and it set the mood for the evening.“
