“I met friends (who had never experienced Thai food before) at House of Basil for lunch. I ordered for us, because I'm a big fan of Thai food, and selected Satay, Green Curry with Chicken, Rendang Beef, and of course, some Pad Thai. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant, and will definitely return when I'm back in the area!“

“The food is always great, but HUGE shoutout to Diego for his service! We came in with a larger party, and Diego helped arrange the tables to accommodate us, checked in frequently in case we needed anything, and treated us to baked goods towards the end. He went above and beyond for us, and we felt very taken care of. We’ll definitely be back!“

“This hidden gem in Danville is tucked away on a downtown side street, Rose Avenue in a tastefully restored cozy home. Four of us visited recently and had the most delicious meals and innovative, yummy cocktails.
Angi, the owner, and her crew made us feel like we were guests in her home while she helped us choose from new and standard Thai dishes. She even had the chef alter ingredients in several of the dishes to accommodate food allergies.
We know we’ll be returning many times to enjoy this special, hidden gem in the valley!
Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options.
Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan, attention given to guests with food allergies
Parking: Street and business parking lots“

“Absolutely phenomenal food, super friendly staff, and a clean and beautiful ambiance. I visited for the first time two weeks ago and knew I needed to bring my family. Brought both my partner's parents and my parents for a birthday celebration/first meeting and the restaurant wowed everyone. The staff was extremely friendly and genuine. Every dish was raved about. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!“

“It was our first time here, and we loved everything we tried. We were seated right away later on a Friday night (8pm) and ordered roti and chicken satay for apps, and Tom Yum noodle soup, Beef noodle soup, yellow curry and a pad thai...and they were all good! I asked for medium spicey for the tom yum noodle soup and regretted it a bit so probably will order mild next time. The beef noodle soup had very tender beef, and the pad thai had great flavor.
Also ordered the mango sticky rice for dessert, and we all enjoyed it.
Parking is metered in the lot but readily available.“

“I have been a loyal customer since the establishment opened. It is one of my preferred dining establishments in the Bay Area. The food is quite satisfactory, but it fluctuates. It is imperative to note that they do not have air conditioning during the hot summer months. It is hoped that this issue will be resolved by the forthcoming summer. It is crucial to book a large group's table. This establishment is somewhat expensive, so it is advisable to be prepared. With some of the dishes, the portions are quite small, such as their fried calamari, but they are quite tasty. Highly recommend! So give it a shot!“

“Tried out their veggies options, and was delish. I liked that they can make their entrees gluten-free. Ordered the Cashew nuts and the Basil stir fry. Both were similar with the exception of the basil flavored in the later one. Not sure if they have a parking lot though. I found parking on the street.“

“A hidden gem in Walnut Creek and an absolute must-try for Thai food lovers! After trying almost every Thai spot in the Bay Area, this one stands out as the best, hands down. The flavors are vibrant, perfectly balanced, and every dish we tried was a home run.
The service was just as amazing, the waitress was so warm and welcoming, and the chef personally came out to check on us, which added such a thoughtful touch to the experience. Little details like that truly set this place apart.
Don’t miss the Pad Thai, it’s hands-down the best I’ve ever had. The sweet and sour pineapple tofu dish was another standout, with a perfect blend of tangy and sweet flavors.
They even boxed up our leftovers for us, which was the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience. This place has won me over, and I’ll definitely be back often. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and try this spot—you’ll be hooked!“

“Thai is my favorite cuisine and this place never disappoints. I have yet to find a better thai restaurant in the bay area and even in the US. The tom yum soup is top notch. Their pad thai is incredible. The only complaint I have is that they can never manage to make the food spicy enough, but to be fair, nobody is able to make it spicy enough for me.“

“I must say, the food and service from this family owned restaurant is one of the best I've experienced in a while!
From the food to desserts, everything was delicious and portioned generously. They ran out of ice cream for the fried banana, but it still hit the spot with the honey glaze.
I will definitely be back again soon!“

“Celebrated birthday dinner and the service was awesome! Staff are very welcoming, warm and attentive. Food are great (except for the steak whick is a little tough to chew). Bangkok Ribs are flavorful but meat portion vs bone is small. They offer a wide selection of menu and we will definitely come back to try other dish, the place is highly recommended for a family/group celebration.“

“This is a fabulous Thai Restaurant. You are greeted with a warm smile and then served really delicious food. I had curry puff balls followed by spicy prawns and bacon. Who doesn’t love prawns and bacon. The flavors were fabulous and the vegetables were so fresh and tasty. I will be back for more for sure. Thank you. Five stars from me.“

“All Thai is not the same. Check out Sri-Thai and you will believe my rating. Used to live nearby we never fail to stop by our favorite Sri-Thai for lunch or dinner whenever we are in the vicinity, and it’s quite often. The best part is, they get to know you. Check it out soon.“

“I thought this was more of a Thai place, but the Malaysian side of things is the strong suit. The beef rendang kori (curry) was fall-apart tender and richly flavored with the heady aromas of curry. Thai standards were very well done as well. Reasonably priced.“

“Good Thai food in the east bay area. Once seated, we waited long for our order to be taken. Service felt a little sluggish on a weekend night. The place was crowded. Food came to table fast from the kitchen though.
The pineapple fried rice was very flavorful. Salmon rolls were something we had not had before.
Would recommend reaching early as the place gets crowded and wait times can be long.“
