I'm glad we went here on a limb. Tucked away from the busy streets and crowds of the nearby shopping center, Yanagi is a good choice. The place is smaller than expected, but the service is quick and cordial. Yanagi has a healthy menu - the bento boxes seem to be popular but their sushi is on par. I wouldn't call it the absolute freshest or thick, but it is quite appropriately priced. We were not dissatisfied. Sat on the patio and had one of their lunch specials, 3 piece sashimi with a spicey tuna roll, miso soup and salad. The sashimi (tuna and hamachi) was very fresh aand large cuts, and the roll was just the perfect amount of spice and also generous in size. Good value and quality for the amount received.

Great service. Friendly- senses of humor too. Small mom and pop type venue. Sushi rolls were average/typical . We really liked the samurai roll. A lot. Located next to Sports Basement, which is why we stopped by. We will likely return.
