My husband and I recently visited twice in one day on our trip to Santa Barbara-- it's that good! There are plenty of places to eat in the downtown area, but Mezza Thyme is by far the best option for great food, thoughtful service, and lovely atmosphere. The upstairs balcony is perfect for a date night to watch the sunset. I'm vegan and they have lots of great options-- I loved the eggplant plate and the falafel! The pita was unreal. They also made some great mocktails as well for those who are non-alcoholic (I requested a mocktail mojito and it was amazing.) Highly recommend!

Soooo good 😊 Beautiful vibes, incredible staff, and the food is next level. Don't skip on the trio, or the mixed shawarma plate... the pita is the fluffiest!!
The service was super good, and the guys were very welcoming.
Overall, the Shawarma sandwiches tasted good, but they were dry and lacked sauce from inside (garlic sauce for chicken, tahini for beef). However, I asked them for more sauce and they were very helpful. Proportion size was good. Meat was thinly sliced. The meat was tender and juicy and cooked thoroughly. The meat had proper spices like the ones you get overseas.
The falafel sandwich was good, had proper amount of sauce. The falafel balls were crunchy and freshly cooked. However, its spices was a bit over on the coriander. Salad combo inside was perfect.

Awesome place to get some delicious Mediterranean food! Service was exceptional and the atmosphere is awesome with a lively bar downstairs and a cozy upstairs with a fireplace and plush seating! Recommended you get a healthy order of their freash made pitas to go with your dish! They were so good we ordered them twice during our visit! The drinks were awesome as well! Loved my espresso martini!

Had a great girls weekend in Santa Barbara and found our way to Mezza Thyme for dinner last Saturday night. Saud and Ricardo gave us exceptional service and the food was delicious! We’re already looking forward to the next time we can come. Highly recommend Mezza Thyme!
The first thing we saw when we walked in the door was Ricardo‘s big smile. Ricardo gave us a choice of eating upstairs or downstairs. Then we had the pleasure of Saud taking our order. The food had so much flavor. My eggplant had a roasted and garlic flavor that was yummy. The warm pita seemed like it came fresh out of the oven or grill. My sisters and I sampled each other‘s plates, and I can honestly say the Chicken Sharma, The grilled chicken platter and my eggplant and falafel plate were all delicious. Saud was attentive to our table and we felt spoiled with food and service. And Ricardo provided our table with delicious drinks that had us all smiling and laughing. I will be making a special trip back just to eat here again. Enjoy!!!
