Staff want to go home early so they close the restaurant half hour early and refused to serve customers. Door is locked 20 minutes before posted closing time. Be wary if you drive across town to eat dinner here because they might be closed. I guess the owners don’t care.

Kind of my goto place in Santa Barbara for takeout Mexican food. Also probably my favorite salsa in town. I often go by just to pick up a container of salsa.

Food was good, ordered chicken enchiladas, and a Carne Asada burrito. Very good enchiladas, the burrito was a little dry. But the place was burning up inside. Was sweating as I was eating.

We stopped here while passing through the area. It was so good! The machaca was sooo delicious! Some of the best I've had. Their salsas were amazing and the hot carrots and beans (both of which I'm real picky about) were top notch. My husband loved his as well. If we lived closer, this would be a regular spot for us. We live in San Diego so we know our taco shops! :)

This place is great! Food portions are way bigger than I expected and everything was so good! The horchata is amazing! My family enjoyed our dinner!
I used to love this place and I have learned to hate it. They now add a dollar fifty to any meal that contains eggs. They no longer include chips with your meal . We paid an extra $3 for our breakfast burritos. Do the math. That will buy eight to ten eggs. It's obvious that Rudy's is using an egg shortage to gouge their customers. As far as I know, there is no chip shortage so charging extra for them is also gouging.I do not recommend this restaurant in the least. They seem to hate their customers.

I am obsessed with the BRC burrito and order like two a week. But recently... ie today the size of it has decreased so dramatically. Don't make me sad... please continue to provide the same standard, size and quality as your local customers are accosting too.

This Rudy's is more for pick up rather than dine-in, all though they do have a few tables and chairs if you would like to eat there. Food is great , you have to prepare which salsas you want with the little cups and lids they supply for you. I recommend the oranges and red looking salsa ,but they are all good in their own way. So eat up and enjoy!

Long time favorite go-to restaurant for decades but sadly they decided making good salsa is too much effort. I'm sad. The avocado salsa and roasted peppers salsa were amazing. RIP.
