This has been my favorite restaurant so far in the Santa Barbara area! The salad, pasta, pizza & desserts are so fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff and owner oversee that you are comfortable and well cared for. I will be bringing my family back again soon!Kid-friendliness: We sat outside and that made room for our toddler to enjoy himself. The pizza chef was so friendly to our little guy and gave him a little piece of dough to play with.
Via Vai is a Montecito staple. It has been around forever and is so consistent. The service and staff and ambiance are all wonderful. I have been 25+ times over the years but had not been back in the last 5 years, I was pleasantly surprised that it is still top notch. Everything is delicious, fresh, shareable, and decently priced. We will be coming back more regularly. My only request is PLEASE start carrying spicy oil, it would have been perfect to drizzle on our pizzas.

It is sad too know, the first time I dined at Via Vai, would be my only time, as they will be closing in the next couple of months. And since I do not live here, it would be my only time to experience their wonderful cuisine. The Puttanesca is excellent, and looking at the Chicken Parmesan, which my friends enjoyed, was excellent. The salads were great, the wine selection was perfect, and dessert was outstanding.
