It is sad too know, the first time I dined at Via Vai, would be my only time, as they will be closing in the next couple of months. And since I do not live here, it would be my only time to experience their wonderful cuisine. The Puttanesca is excellent, and looking at the Chicken Parmesan, which my friends enjoyed, was excellent. The salads were great, the wine selection was perfect, and dessert was outstanding.

This has been my favorite restaurant so far in the Santa Barbara area! The salad, pasta, pizza & desserts are so fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff and owner oversee that you are comfortable and well cared for. I will be bringing my family back again soon!Kid-friendliness: We sat outside and that made room for our toddler to enjoy himself. The pizza chef was so friendly to our little guy and gave him a little piece of dough to play with.

Via Vai is a Montecito staple. It has been around forever and is so consistent. The service and staff and ambiance are all wonderful. I have been 25+ times over the years but had not been back in the last 5 years, I was pleasantly surprised that it is still top notch. Everything is delicious, fresh, shareable, and decently priced. We will be coming back more regularly. My only request is PLEASE start carrying spicy oil, it would have been perfect to drizzle on our pizzas.

We had a large party and our server was great! He checked in and was on top of anything we needed. Our water was constantly being filled and plates cleared as we finished. The pizzas are a good serving size for one or two people and the calzones are huge. If you get pasta, the serving size is a bit small in my opinion. Everything was very fresh and tasty.

Oh My Gawd!! This was my first time at Via Vai and it definitely won't be my last. I wasn't sure if they had gluten free, but the online ordering system has that as an option even though it's not on their online menu. I ordered the Gluten Free Margherita pizza. It did not taste gluten free at all. In fact, it was so ungluten free tasting I was a bit concerned. Absolutely no issues and it was fantastic! The dough was perfectly cooked, slightly chewy with a crisp outside.

First time eating here...was looking for brick oven pizza. All was good but did not like the taste of the pizza. Lived in Italy and not sure why 8 didn't like the flavor but neither my wife or myself finished it...Sorry guys - service was great!

The staff is so wonderful and the food is amazing! We come here whenever we are in Santa Barbara. I recently went to Italy and had authentic Naples pizza, and let me tell you, the pizza at Via Vai is on point! Thank you for a great experience!

Always a delight with consistent quality Italian food with a Mountain view. Service can be spotty at times but only when the restaurant is very busy. Kid friendly (they love the pizza and pasta) and outside is a nice atmosphere.

Went on a girls date with my mom and we had a great time! Staff was really friendly and service was fast. Delicious food, we also got a fettuccine bolognese pasta and was delicious, will definitely be eating here soon again. Perfect for date nights :)
