A very nice family American Italian restaurant. Since the children took over, the focus seems to be on banquets and quick business meals. There is an old regular client base that dates to the father. But they still make the coil sausage which is great and the rice balls with meat inside on Christmas, both which the father started.

I don’t know what a “limited Valentine’s Day menu” is. We called to place our normal order and they stated that it wasn’t an option today because it wasn’t on the Valentine’s Day menu. Who limits their menu on a holiday????????

We wanted to like this restaurant since it's so close to our home but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The family found the food not too flavorful and a bit too salty. Also for some reason the men's bathroom smelt quite bad, like there was a leak in the sewer pipe. Unfortunately we probably won't be coming back anytime soon.

A Santa Clara institution.

Old a school operation. Very old school. Cooking in mothers old recipes and an they taste like it.

Staff were nice and attentive. Food just wasn't very good. There were three of us and the bill was 140.00, no alcohol and I only had a salad.

The stress exhibited by the staff was intense. The hostess, servers, and bussers were all suffering. The dining area was insanely busy and loud. The kitchen was very backed up. It took an hour to get our food. Our server apologized twice for the delay but declined to give us a second basket of bread. On delivery, my food was cold. It must have been finished first and waited for the other plates. It wasn't a great meal.

Doordash order. Expensive and much of the order was not satisfactory. Filet of sole was overcooked. The accompanying vegetables were overcooked or not cooked, such as the carrot. One order lf linguine and clams was loaded w mushrooms, which we didn't ask for. The garlic bread was miniscule. The caprese was mediocre slices of mozzarella n tomatoes. Only the veal marsala was tasty. But why did the meat come cut up in bite size pieces.Never again.

Firoillo's is a very sweet surprise! Tucked away in a little corner between San Jose and Santa Clara you will find this little gem. Reservations are recommended. Please do yourself a favor and try it. I ordered their Linguine and Clams with white sauce and it was hands down the best I ever had! I've ordered it in a lot of different regions of Italy and this was the best for me! My sister-in-law had a gluten free seafood pasta, my daughter had veal parmesean, my other daughter had Chicken Parmesean and my mom, well...I can't remember, but it was all amazing.
