“Tobang delivers a classic Korean BBQ experience with generous banchan, quality meats, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The staff keeps the table stocked, refreshes side dishes without being asked, and checks in at the right moments, which makes the meal feel smooth and well‑paced. Service is attentive but never intrusive, and the team moves with a steady rhythm that keeps the grill active and the table organized. It’s the kind of place where the grill becomes the center of the table and everyone naturally gets involved.
The food itself is flavorful and satisfying, from the sizzling cuts of pork galbi, cha dol baegi, and short ribs to comforting dishes like seafood tofu soup and kimchi fried rice. The seafood pancake is crisp and generous, and the Yakult at the end adds a fun, nostalgic touch. The variety of banchan keeps the meal balanced, and the mix of marinated and non‑marinated meats gives everyone something to enjoy. It’s a great spot for groups, casual dinners, or anyone craving a hands‑on dining experience with plenty of shareable dishes.
Overall, Tobang offers a dependable and enjoyable Korean BBQ outing. The atmosphere is warm, the portions are generous, and the service keeps everything running smoothly without rushing you. Whether you’re coming with a small group or a larger party, the experience feels communal in the best way, and the food delivers consistent flavor and comfort.“

“The aunties here are so sweet and are so very attentive/kind! Food-wise, they make a lot of their banchan from scratch and you can tell the food here has so much heart put into it. Maybe it's a good thing after all that we had an issue with our reservation tonight at that... other restaurant that starts with B and rhymes with pong... Found our new fave mom-and-pop kbbq spot! We will most certainly be back.“

“I had dinner at Milo’s Kitchen last night with a few close friends, and honestly, I was blown away. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming — dim lighting, soft jazz in the background, and the smell of fresh herbs in the air. We ordered the roasted garlic shrimp, truffle mushroom risotto, and the slow-cooked lamb shank. Every bite was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The portions were generous too. Our server, Jamie, was super attentive without being overbearing — she even recommended a wine that paired beautifully with the lamb. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in months.“

“It was a chill Tuesday afternoon and my partner and I were looking for a nice simple lunch. I was originally feeling some kbbq but just wanted to order one meat and eat it with banchan, however this place had a minimum of 2 meats per table for bbq. Because of this, we had to pivot and look at their lunch menu instead. We ordered the lunch special LA Galbi and Mul Naengmyeon as well as the Seafood and Beef Soft Tofu Stew. The Galbi was great, the noodles were refreshing and really thin, and the tofu stew was rich and warming. Though, these items were not the highlight of the meal. The banchan and the service were the absolute best. They had one dish that was essentially a version of macaroni salad, but it wasn’t macaroni. I have no idea what it is, but that was the best version of macaroni salad I’ve had. They also had this super delicious seaweed and radish banchan. It was like umami encapsulated in one bite. I even asked for the name of the dish, but now trying to search it up I feel completely lost. Beyond the banchan, the service was also great as we were the last people in the restaurant. They were just chilling waiting for us but as the server saw us get low on banchan she would immediately refill it for us. One day I must go back to try the bbq cooked on the wood coals, but for now what we had was perfect.
Update: tried the bbq and it was fire. We got the wagyu ribeye which is huge as well as the Kalbi which were both really good quality and cooked perfectly. However also learned that their banchan rotates regularly depending on what ingredients are available.“
“Ushiya was honestly such a great experience from start to finish. The meat quality was amazing. The staff was super attentive, always helping with the grill and making sure everything was running smoothly without being overwhelming. The whole vibe of the place was fun and welcoming, perfect for hanging out and enjoying good food. Definitely one of the best spots I’ve been to and I’ll for sure be coming back!“

“This Korean BBQ restaurant truly exceeded my expectations! The quality of the beef is outstanding — easily comparable to the Hanwoo beef I’ve had in Korea. You can really taste how premium and fresh the meat is, especially when grilled.
The banchan (side dishes) selection is also very generous and well-prepared, offering great variety and authentic flavors. A special shoutout to their seasonings and sauces — the sauce selection is way more extensive than most Korean BBQ spots, and each one pairs perfectly with the meat.
Most importantly, this place is not just about BBQ. Their braised spicy pork ribs (the famous Korean spicy rib stew) are incredibly flavorful and deeply marinated, with the sauce soaking into every bite. It’s rich, spicy, and absolutely comforting.
Oh, BTW. Our sever is absolutely amazing, super helpful and very nice .
If you’re looking for authentic Korean flavors, high-quality meat, and amazing sauces all in one place, this spot is a must-try. Highly recommended!“

“We've come to the age where we value quality over quantity when it comes to food; gone are the days of overstuffing ourselves at AYCE locations. As a result, we're always in search of new restaurants where the food really hits the spot and leaves us feeling satisfied. One of my friends recommended Baekjeong, as it was his favorite and go-to kbbq spot in the bay area. I was able to book a same-day reservation for our party of 6, and we ordered 2 large beef combos. The staff cooks the meat for you, and provides around 6 banchans and 2 salad types. Our server was Risa, who was super friendly and attentive, and we felt right at home with her. She kept everything running smoothly and made us feel so welcome. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. Since then, many days have passed, but I'll have moments where I think back and crave the food we had at Baekjeong. I'm always looking forward to the next time I can come back.
Additional notes: Free wifi is available. Restaurant is on the exterior of Valley Fair mall. Parking is by the Stevens Creek parking garage with a short walk through the mall; most of the parking directly in front is only for the bank. Entrance is on the first floor, but restaurant is on the second floor with both stairs and elevator access. There usually is a host downstairs at the entrance to admit you, and you wait in the waiting room upstairs. They give a free soda to designated drivers!“
